light weight with powerful suction

This is my very first Dyson. I AM SO EXCITED with the vacuum so far. I have a muscle disorder so with this vacuum I can easily pick it up and exchange the tools for any cleaning job I have to do. The handle/battery is slick to hold on to. All the tools work great except the "brush" is very cheap. I love how easy it is to empty. The omni glide is perfection!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a regular Dyson for my carpets, but my hardwood floors were dusty. I also have 3 dogs, and there's a lot of hair. The Omni-glide is a miracle! It is light, easy to use daily, and keeps the floors spotless. The waste bin is small, but it's easy to empty (although I do need to use my fingers on the hair). I am so HAPPY to have made this purchase.

Game Changer

I purchased the Omni-glide about 6 months ago and immediately found it delightful to use on hardwood floors. In comparison to lugging around a heavy canister vacuum and plugging/replugging, this is a game changer. The mobility is awesome and I am able to vacuum our 1,800 SF home on a single charge. Please note, this is designed for lightly dusty hard flooring; the rollers on the head will get clogged if used for heavier jobs. On the downside, the attachment for use as a handheld vacuum is not well made. I would love a soft brush attachment. Also, this vacuum requires maintenance to operate at its best.

Totally different, great little vacuum

Our Omni-Glide is great. It gets used much more than our other stick vacuum and has put our canister completely out of business. It's so easy, so light, so flexible and so comfortable. It's a great product and I hope Dyson continues to make and support it for a long time.
It's a light duty vacuum. It won't pick up pebbles. But as an every-night crumb cleaner-upper it's perfect. Or as an occasional dust remover for back corners it does a great job. It's small, and that gets it into small places, square into corners, and it does the job. It's thin and will vacuum under almost anything.
The main thing is, it's so easy it gets used.
The few negatives: It's small, so large areas take more swaths than a wider vacuum. Its dust bin is small so you have to empty it every so often. But emptying it is trivial and clean. The head needs to be cleaned occasionally as dust gets caked around the rotating rollers and they stop rolling. Cleaning the head takes about five minutes and you're good for another several weeks. The Dyson website shows that most replacement parts are unavailable. So far the only parts I'd think about replacing eventually are the little wheels that allow the head to glide so effortlessly. Eventually they will wear down especially on our tile floors. Probably less so on smooth hardwood floors.
A great little vacuum.

I own several Dyson products, both the animal an ball upright. I was skeptical about this unit due to the size an actual use on a charge, but the glide amazed me. It’s soul purpose was for quick kitchen clean up, an it’s since purchase suited it’s purpose!
