Addicted to Vacuum after 2 months review

I need to downgrade the rating from 5 to 3 stars after 2 months of usage. There is a design issue on the four little wheels at the bottom of the mopping module. Dust can be caught up on the axle of the wheels easily which ends up paralyzing the movement. To clean it up, you need to have a fine tweezer reaching to less than 2 mm gap. Since I vacuum every day, it becomes a hassle cleaning up every other day. And it will take 10-15 minutes to do it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've encountered some trouble with your Dyson. I can confirm that the small wheels on the bottom of your cleaner head do need to be maintained on a fairly regular basis, more so if you vacuum more often, or have shedding pets in the home. The easiest way to accomplish that is with tweezers or even a very small pair of sewing scissors. You may find that you're having to do this after each clean, just to ensure that the hair isn't able to accumulate and get stuck under the wheels, which could cause further damage.

Perfect for Quick Cleanup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a slim, light and maneuverable vacuum that works great for everyday use. I typically wait several days between using my v11 but this is easier to grab for when my kids drop food on the floor or some dirt gets tracked into the house. The omnidirectional head, due to its size, fits where the v11 cannot. There is plenty of power for hard floors, its intended use, but suction is limited when using the crevice tool. The tradeoff is the lighter weight of the vacuum makes it easier to lift when cleaning high spots. I have a mix of carpet and hard floor so could not use it as a primary vacuum but it has been a fantastic supplement to maintaining clean floors.

Tedious to remove long hair from wheels

I like how nice light weight tjis vacuum is. It makes it easier to clean. Problem is long hair gets easily caught in the tiny wheels of the gliding vacuum head. Hence, you have to spend a lot of time clearing them out or else the vacuum will not glide over the floors, making it very hard to push the vacuum to move around. Also, it should have a longer battery life in the same size.

This is our most compact cord-free machine, and it's smaller size makes it ideal for apartments, small homes or even dorm rooms. Regarding the hair getting caught around the tiny wheels on your cleaner head, we've found that a small pair of sewing scissors or tweezers is the perfect size for removing those hairs. You'll want to be sure to check your machine, generally, after each time you vacuum. These hairs are usually going to be much easier to remove when there are just a few present, and they're not able to accumulate.
As it is a more compact machine, the battery life is shorter than what you'd find on our larger cord-free models. In MAX mode, which is great for more stubborn debris, run time is going to be about 5 minutes. When using ECO mode, you can get 18-20 minutes of run time on a single battery charge. Great for Hard Floor Dusting

I purchased this product and have had it for a week or so. Overall, I find that it is much more enjoyable to use every night and day rather than other products. However, I am very unimpressed with the size of the dirt bin, especially since we have pets I find myself emptying the canister 3-4 times during each use. I have attempted to use this as a handheld vacuum as well, but there is not enough power on the regular setting to justify using this as a handheld. Also, I have found that hair is getting tangled around the brush rolls more than I think it should. I would recommend this product as a hard floor duster, but not as a hard floor vacuum, or a handheld.

We have 2 chihuahuas that shed alot. We have area rugs, tile and laminate wood floors. I was constantly Swiffering....I use this and it's a huge difference. It's fabulous on the dog hair. I love that it twists and turns any way....gets right to the baseboards...Glad I purchased this.

I love it but…

I love this for vacuuming all of my stairs but it is clumsy. There is no easy way to lean it against something and it falls so easy. I’ve broken the battery cap and the button to remove the rollers in the first couple of months. The V11 is more stable and doesn’t fall over. I hate having to lay the vacuum down every time I need to free my hands.
Works great on hardwoods and tile. Not good for any sort of carpet/rug.
It’s nice and lightweight, I like it way better for doing my four flights of stairs than my V11.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It’s ok

This is super light and agile but it just doesn’t cut it at my house. I have 2 kids and a dog and it’s not great at picking up dog fur.
I’m going to need to get something with more power and more battery life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
