Excellent design, except charger attachment.

This is a great cordless vacuum. By far the best cordless vacuum I've ever used. But the charger attachment is under-engineered. Therefore, all that's needed to make this a perfect vacuum is to provide an attachment receptacle that equals the quality of the vacuum. A five-star vacuum, but a two-star charger receptacle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I m dyson person since 2010 , I just added in my dyson collection new dyson omni, I love ❤ it. It small light. I repeat you have to have another bigger dyson vacuum to have this, this one only hard flooring

Some great features, but lacks suction power

Maneuverability of the head on hard floors and around obstructions is outstanding. However, the suction power of the unit is poor. If you use the crevice tool (with the brush down) on crumbs, you can see that it doesn't sufficiently pick up the debris completely (worse suction than an inexpensive smaller hand held vacuum). Which leads me to believe that the main head is more "wiping" the floor with its fuzzy rollers than actually sucking up what it needs to. I have tried exchanging the item and experienced the same lack of suction on the newer one, so I don't think the problem was with a dysfunctional unit. Presuming this must be a lack of suction for the entire line of the Omni-glide. If the suction worked as it should, this would be a 5 star vacuum for hard wood floors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent for what it is

When it works it’s good. Lots of dust and hair stick to the sides of the vacuum surface, and like all Dysons, and I have at least 5, the plastic wheels are poor and stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Use it all the time

I love my Omni glide and use it at least once a day.Empty the dirt cup every time I use it like a dust pan. Do wish you could prop it up some how like a counter notch.

A different cleaning experience.

Browsing for cordless vacuum cleaners, I tested the Omni Glide after a bunch of others and found the experience totally different. Couple of minutes later, bought it, drove back and tested it immediately live.
Satisfied with the experience, efficiency, power, and enough battery for a standard 3 rooms flat. Provided with enough accessories, light and easy to use, and to clean.
1 thing missing would be an additional wall stand or dock to hold all the accessories and add up to the “neat” experience. Here, all the accessories stand a little messy around this small charger dock.

I love my Dyson! I live in a single apartment with mostly wood floors. My main initial concern was if it was going to charge enough to vacuum the entire (400 sq/ft) apt. I never wished that I had a bigger place to really test it out! It not only stays charged long enough (I only need about 15 minutes) but I can mount it, not plugged in, and use it again for another 10-15 minutes, a couple of weeks later. Who does that?!? I love vacuuming, so it could be me, but I love this Dyson.

this vacuum is the only one with dual heads you can vacuum backwards unlike the other models. not to many it’s very powerful at vacuuming!
