Major design flaw

Microwave is quiet and seems to work well after having GE service come down and fix a problem that was preventing the door from shutting all the way which prevented the microwave from turning on. To me, the big problem is a major (in my opinion) design flaw in that the control panel is fixed in place facing outward. There is no way to flip the screen into an upfacing position. Being that the microwave is installed in my island’s cabinetry so it’s at a lower level, I have to bend or kneel in order to see and use the controls. I’ve seen the microwaves that allow the control panel to flip up so you VPI a use the controls standing up. Yes, some people place the cabinet high in their upper cabinets so this wouldn’t matter. But if the control panal was made to lie flat or flip up it could be used in either scenario comfortably

Sparking

This microwave is sparking after less than two years of use. Just as other reviewers have mentioned, this is clearly a design flaw, safety harzard, and defect which should be remedied by Cafe. At this point, the company will be facing a class action lawsuit if this product is not recalled and this issue resolved for the many dissatisfied customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After 18 months, my microwave is sparking!

Like many reviews, my unit started sparking in the back right corner due to the wheel rubbing off the interior coating. I’ve had this unit for 18 months, so the warranty has expired and I’m forced to buy a new microwave. I’ve never had any issues with GE appliances until this. Help!

lousy microwave

the microwave was installed in a lower cabinet space as most are these days. the display doesn't turn upward so you are forced to squat down to se the controls. the heat on the microwave doesn't compare to most. takes twice as long to heat things relative to my prior microwave
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks nice, doesn’t last long

Mine only lasted a year and half. That’s not a lot of use for what we paid. Looks nice but does not last .

DO NOT BUY! As all other reviews stated...14 months in and it sparks due to the faulty wheels. So beyond frustrating! We spent over $15K in GE cafe appliances to have them all match and could not be more disappointed!

Don’t buy!

I regret this purchase. Have had it less than 2 years and the door motor has failed twice. Currently not working and can’t get warranty service. Have had two service appts with 8-5 windows and both times no shows! Don’t buy!
