After having this microwave for only 5 MONTHS, the control panel went out. This is clearly a piece of sh*#!!

Flawed design, drawer bearing rubs and sparks.

Same issue as MANY others listed here. I trusted the GE brand and loved the Cafe line, so we splurged on the drawer microwave and now have the sparking issue in the same back left corner. You can clearly see many other reviews and examples of this, the back left corner has a wear mark where the bearing is rubbing and exposed metal is causing the sparks. This is not from abuse, this is normal open/close operation and started under 1 year, but we didn't think much of it and it stopped for a while, but now is back and unusable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No backlight

This instrument has No backlight....hard to use for a 71 yr old consumer as I cannot see controls!!

Get a flashlight!

Microwave looks and performs well. The disappointment comes from not being able to see the control panel very well. Because of the location in the island, you have to bend down to see controls and the panel has no lights. Frustrating!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Within one year the microwave began sparking and shortly after the drawer won’t remain closed due to a faulty latch. At least 80% of these are reported as faulty. Surely the MFR will do something?!

This product we've had for about a year and up to now it has performed well and has many nice features. However yesterday the back left corner started sparking similar to what others have described. I'm trying to find purchase date which is complicated as this was purchased by our decorator during a recent remodel. The arcing seems to be to the metal post holding the rear roller.

Sparks here, too!

We are just under 2 months with our microwave and are in the same boat as many of these other reviews with sparks flying from the back left corner of the microwave. Was working fine up until a few days ago, very disappointed in this.
