It works great once you learn how to operate it properly. My only complaint is that they need to bring out a 4 slot model for families with more than two people.

We currently do not have plans for a 4 slice toaster. Since our current R270 includes our fast InstaGLO heating system, you can toast 4 pieces of bread in less time than a standard four-slice toaster. Thank you for your feedback!

Seriously Obsessed! This toaster is the SHIZZ. My husband and I make little panini's for dinner in this. We make grilled cheeses in minutes too and they used to take us forever on the skillet. We literally are obsessed with this thing. If you've been thinking about it, DO IT!

So I bought this toaster looking for a well built appliance. Unfortunately, I have tons of issues with this toaster burning everything I put in it. The bread selection is somwhat dumb. I can add "favorites" but I dont get why I cant have ALL bread types as an option. Additionally it's a MAGNET for fingerprints and DIFFICULT to keep clean. Good concept but still needs a lot of work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good toaster wish there were updates

This toaster is good. Once you understand how it’ll deal with each item you throw at it you can get results the way you want.
The clock is unusable on it because it seems to be off a few seconds every minute, and that adds up over days. There are small issues with the UI and the settings on it and if it was able to have software/firmware updates this product could be made into a 5 star device that is somewhat worth the heavy cost.
I would recommend this toaster if you like it’s looks and aren’t on a strict budget. But for the price and the average to sub-par performance (at times), I would say it is hard to justify the high cost of ownership.

Pretty Dang Close To Perfect

I was making toast daily in a cheap big box store toaster. You know, those novelty ones that are under $20. But making breakfast toasts became such an important part of my day that I decided to invest in a Revolution toaster. I’m glad I did!
As fast as I eat bread weekly, I was still dealing with molding. This toaster has a dedicated setting to toast frozen bread, saving me so much bread… literally. I just buy a multi-pack of bread and keep them in the freezer. The Revolution handles frozen slices no problem.
The pictures associated with the varying toast settings don’t match up too well to the final results. I toast frozen bread at the max setting, which shows as pretty burnt on the screen, but still needs one more cycle after, in practice. Certain brands of bread, when frozen, also seem slightly moist coming out after toasting. But it’s all dependant on your bread. Lastly, those nice artisanal sourdough loaves don’t fit all the way into this toaster, leaving some of the end hanging out. These minor issues are why it’s pretty close to perfect, but not quite.
I still can’t imagine another toaster in my kitchen. Looking forward to the next iteration!

Amazing Toaster

I purchased this toaster around 6 months ago after eyeing it for a long time. It’s one of those purchases that I have not regretted once! This thing toasts EVERYTHING, and it toasts it all perfectly and at lightning speed. English muffins, bagels, reheated homemade Belgian waffles, pop tarts, thick country bread… it’s all phenomenal. The panini press is an amazing addition too. I have literally never enjoyed a toaster before this one - my general experience with them has been “meh.” The Revolution R270 gets a “WOW!” It is the kitchen appliance I didn’t know I needed, and I genuinely can’t imagine living without it now. It’s that good. Just buy it.

Consistently good toast!

I have a “toaster graveyard” in my garage. The R270 is: 1) more consistent and providing the desired color; 2) toasts the surface without drying out the middle of the slice; 3) by far, does the best job on bagels, with uniform toasting from top edge to bottom, toasting without burning the outer surface, and preserving the chewiness within.
