Too new to rate. Bought this on the recommendation of the store owner. He assured us that these are built to last 25 years. Since we had our Kenmore for 22 years with no repairs, for what we paid for this set, I better get at least the 25 years.

I own a speed queen in Vermont and it’s about 6 years old.. everyone in the house uses it for towels, sheets ski clothes. Dog beds and it works perfectly..
These new machines are useless.. the “normal/ecco cycle is a joke and if someone turns the dryer knob the wrong way the cycle is broken..

We're truly sorry to hear your new laundry pair hasn't met expectation! For the dryer, the cycle selector knob should only be turned clockwise and is not designed to be turned counterclockwise as this can impact the timer. If the knob was turned counterclockwise, you should be able to cancel the cycle and turn the knob clockwise to correct it. The Normal/ECO is a cycle to meet the ECO standards, which does conserve both energy and water. None of the other cycles would be impacted by the ECO standards. Like the gas dryer a lot! However the gas dryer door is a little hard to open for smakker children such as a 10 year old girl

I had Speed Queen laundry appliances, back in the 90's and loved them. I had to leave them behind, when I sold my home. Since then, I have craved a new washer and dryer set. My husband surprised me and purchased a brand new set. They are just as wonderful, as I remembered. The washer has a beautiful steel tub. Sturdy and efficient agitation and the clothes come out spun dry, beautifully.
I would recommend this to a friend!
