New dryer doesn't work

I have never bought a product that didn't work right out of the box. I ad to wait for a week for a repair man to replace the mignitor.

Not thrilled with it

When you take clothes out of dryer and close door Dryer does not re-start but timer continues and you get an annoying. buzzer when the timer finishes its count down. Why does the timer do this. My old Maytag did not do this.

Too hot

dryer dries too hot, have to dry everything on delicate, if I had it to do over I would not buy, too expensive for the product..

Hello,

We are very sorry to hear about your dryer. We can suggest a few things that we hope you find useful:
Timed dry:
1. In a timed dry cycle the timer advances for the duration of the cycle. The heat circuit has no bearing on the length of the cycle.
Auto dry:
1. In an auto dry cycle the heat circuit determines the length of the cycle.
a. The machine has a “cycling thermostat” which opens and closes depending on the temperature in the machine
b. When the cycling thermostat reaches its limit, it will switch to the open position, cutting off electricity to the heat circuit and redirecting it to the timer motor.
i. The higher the moisture content of the load, the longer it will take to reach this point.
c. When the cycling thermostat cools enough it will switch to the closed position, taking the power away from the timer motor and redirecting it back to the heat circuit.
i. As the items dry, the time to reach the limit temperature will be shorter, thus advancing the timer quicker and quicker, until the end of the cycle.

Based upon the described symptoms, following are possible causes of no timer advancement in either cycle type:

• Loose or damaged wire harness
• Mis-wired timer
• Faulty timer

In any case, we would recommend in contacting the dealer that you purchased from to procure a service appointment. If your machine is warranty qualified, the cost of the part and the labor charge will be covered by Speed Queen with no cost to you. If your dealer does not offer service please ask them who services the machines they sell or who they can recommend from our service locator, found by visiting https://www.speedqueen.com/support/find-service.aspx. You may then contact the service company of your choice directly to schedule a mutually agreeable service date and time.

Not good

The repairman is headed back after previously trying to fix our brand new Speed Queen dryer. IT is making a real racket when running. His first trip he found some screws loose in the washer. It worked for a couple of days and now the racket is even worse.

Door attached crooked at factory, bad closure

Expensive machine that might be fine, save for the fact that the door:hing:body assembly is out of alignment from day 1. Gasket does not make a seal, but machine still runs. Customer service never answers.

A solidly engineered machine

I am an electrical engineer, and our previous washer and dryer were from a less than stellar brand - only lasted 8 years. As soon as this dryer was installed and we ran it the first time, I opened the door and felt real heat on the inside. This dryer may seem like a boring design to some, but the EXCITING part is the solid construction, ease of serviceability, and the availability of parts (you can even order them online). Of course, for the next 5 years, I'll just call my Speed Queen dealer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality Dryer & Made is the USA

Been using this dryer 4 months now and meets all my expectations performs as described. One thing I want to mention when you take your clothes out prior to the end of the cycle you need to turn off the timer as it will continue to run and go off accordingly as it does not know you removed the clothes. It wasn't until I chatted with another Speed Queen owner that I learned this.
I would recommend this to a friend!
