Dryer works well. Disappointed in the lint filter.

The dryer works well. The controls are easy to understand. I am very disappointed in the quality of the lint filter. There is a chintzy plastic cover that fits over the filter. It is constantly coming off and ending up with the clothes. The lint filter is screwed in place. This makes it hard to clean. The area around the lint filter collects dirt. This is a very poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, GB Laundry. It's great that everything is working well and you've found using the machine simple to do, but we understand there are some concerns about the lint filter and lint filter cover. This is valuable feedback for us, thank you! The lint filter itself is held in place to ensure no items are pulling into the exhaust system creating an obstruction. However, you can remove this lint filter with a 5/16 nut driver or thin wall socket should you need to for cleaning or maintenance purposes. So far so good. We have a speed queen washer and dryer. Whats nice is they are very simple and suppose to be like what laundry matts use. Suppose to be the best there is

I’ve only had this dryer for about a month . A more meaningful review would be after a years use. Perhaps SQ will contact me then.

Simple but Sturdy

I like my new Speedqueen washer and dryer but I do NOT like how long the dryer “cool down” cycle stays on and I CANNOT find a way to shorten that part of all the dryer selections. I have to just be home and remove the clothes and turn off manually.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Get my new speed queen in December it won't dry hasn't worked since June the repair man has been at my house 4 times to fix coming again today ridiculous my new dryer could not be fixed sooner hopefully it's fixed today
