Dryer making a horrible noise after one month

As of now I would not recommend this products to anybody

Excellent gas dryer!!

An LG repairman was at our home doing some warranty work on our fridge. In our conversation, he told us about S.Q. products...how they are all made in the USA, how great the warranty is, how dependable they are, etc. Our dryer was very old and needing to be replaced, (it was the one that Noah brought over on the Ark). My wife had been complaining about how long it took to dry a small load of clothes, sometimes up to 3 hrs. So, I started checking it out. At first she turned it down because of the high price. I looked at a few other dryers but, basically my mind was made up and I was just going through the motions to make her think there was something else out there. I am a HUGE FAN of 'Made in USA' and put my money where my mouth is! Many times if I cannot find it made in USA, I just do without! Our history books tell of the 'Boston Tea Party' but, they don't tell about the next few weeks... the colonists did without TEA! They were a bunch of Brits at that time! They were very fond of TEA! They did without it because of their strong convictions. I've been on this kick against chinese junk for 35 yrs. the rest of the country has recently caught up. The evening that I installed our new S Q dryer, my bride was still going on about spending that much for a dryer. I just looked at her and said, "You'll thank me later." and smiled. Now, every time she emerges from the laundry room with a armload of warm dry clothes, she thanks me profusely! When our washer dies, I'll be buying a Speed Queen to match our dryer! Keep it up, guys!!

I only have 2 complaints. The door is way too hard to open-maybe will loosen with wear. Also there isn't much room when setting more or less dry. The dial has so much tension I'm not quite sure I have it right as it pulls back a little when releasing it plus its hard to see where line is exactly. Clothes comes out nice and flufffy though.

Afraid of my washer and dryer!

I was absolutely blessed to enjoy an average priced Maytag set for 38 years. The dryer never had a service call but the washer eventually became too expensive to keep repaired. I researched for a month before choosing Speed Queen but, to be honest, I wish I'd never seen them, particularly the dryer.
I do not believe the "timer" makes sense. I have totally destroyed multiple items, melted 8 baby blankets, melted nylon and polyester in various items, and feel like I absolutely have to stand and monitor the heat every few minutes. I've been sewing for over 50 years, know a LOT about fabrics, and I am not exaggerating when I say my dryer scares me! I can set it for 15 minutes and melt just about anything. I am hanging clothes outside to dry...something I have never felt I had to do!
The washer, even on the most delicate cycle, can easily tear fabrics.
I wish I could say I like this set because of what I paid for it, thinking it must be great, and now I am so disappointed and frustrated, I do not know what to do! My husband wants to try to sell it but I'm not going to do that.

Great machine.

After my previous dryer started having issues, I needed to repair or replace. Due to the age, I went with replace. I had purchased a Speed Queen washer 10 years ago and was impressed with the quality of the workmanship and performance so the purchase decision was easy-I wanted something equally dependable, without all of the electronic bells and whistles. This machine fit my needs perfectly. Only quibble is that the door requires some force to open/close but otherwise no complaints. The interior light makes it very easy to be sure that all items are removed and the lint trap is easy to clean..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my speed queen washer but my dryer is not doing what it should. Setting is not working correctly. Not happy about anyone calling me back about it after leaving 3 messages

Absolutely the Best!

I previously owned a washer and dryer set made by Samsung that had given me problems almost since I first bought them. When I had a repairman over to repair my dryer I asked him what brand he recommended and he said, without hesitation, SPEED QUEEN. He said they were the last of the major companies that still built their products in America and still had quality products. After that repair failed (one year later) I ditched the problematic, trash Samsung washer and dryer and ran to the Speed Queen store. My new washer and dryer operates quicker and cleans and drys my clothes better. Hands down best warranty as well. Quit playing around with pretty shiny imported washers and dryers that will fail you after a two-three years and go spend your hard earned cash on a product that will last.
