Dries clothes very well. Is a bit loud which makes it sound cheap.

When our old dryer broke down and was beyond economical repair, I asked the best-qualified person I knew for his recommendation. That person, a very reliable independent appliance repairman, told me Speed Queen was by far his most-preferred brand. I'd never heard of it, but I bought on his recommendation, and we are very happy with it.

It is a basic machine. Unfortunately it takes a longer than expected time to complete a drying cycle. The clothes are dry long before the cycle ends.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
