Already had service on Dryer

Speed Queen is definitely the appliances to get if you’re constantly doing laundry. However, the dryer has needed to be serviced on about 3 times now. There’s a vent on the inside of the dryer towards the back that has a film/paint that keeps melting and getting in our clothes. That’s been replaced 2 times now. The thermostat has has to be replaced as well as two sensors. We’ve also experienced a loud squeaky sound that needs to be serviced now. Luckily it’s under warranty and all this has it will get fixed.

We are very sorry to hear about the circumstances you have been experiencing with your dryer.
After further review, it does show in our system you may have been having some venting issues.
When the grate in the back is getting darker, due to the venting, airflow is low allowing the clothing to touch the grill in the back where heat comes out. This may be the cause of the marks on your laundry. When exhaust is right, the blower sucks air out of that grill so fast that clothing cannot touch it.
This may be an issue that you can resolve yourself. Airflow in a Speed Queen is crucial. This means the venting has to be better than what the average machine requires. Our air flow through the machine is 220 cfm and if there is a restriction, the heat is spiked. Foil venting cannot be used as it can easily kink and reduce the airflow. The venting material needs to be metal, like ductwork. Termination hoods must meet our requirements or it can reduce the airflow. Please check to see if there are any obstructions- going all the way from the back of the dryer to the outside. If you do have solid metal venting attached to the dryer, you may need to also run this by SPECIAL T'S APPLIANCE SOLUTION so they can take a look at this as well.

Trying to learn this machine

My clothes are more wrinkly than my previous dryer. I’m trying to adjust size of loads and hopefully I’ll find the right combination of load size and settings. So far, I haven’t found the “wow I LOVE this machine!” factor. The signal is very quiet so I often don’t hear it if I’m in a different part of the house when it first goes off so I have to “refresh” the load.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are so sorry to learn about your clothing becoming more wrinkly than your previous dryer. Your dryer has an Anti-Wrinkle option, this option prevents wrinkling by tumbling the clothes load after the end of the cycle every two minutes for up to 60 minutes. The display will show the time remaining. The option will end if the door is opened. Hopefully this will help reduce/eliminate your clothing becoming wrinkly after each use.
In regards to your end of dryer signal, Your DR7 has an option for the end of cycle buzzer to beep - it's called signal. If you press the power button and then press the signal button, this feature will engage. When you press and hold the signal button you will hear 3 volumes of the beep. Stop pressing when you hear the loudest one.

Extremely durable and heavy duty, dries well. It’s not as fancy as some of the other brands, but all other brands can’t compete with the warranty and the workmanship in this brand. No one builds washer and dryer’s like SpeedQueen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the capacity of this washing machine. I used to have a 1991 Maytag extra large capacity. This is amazing. It even had a handwash setting.

This is the best dryer that I've ever owned. It is quiet it thoroughly dries the clothes. The lint trap isn't really deep and it's very easy to clean it with one scoop, It's cleaned. I got the one that doesn't have the knobs...it's push button style It has all the different settings so many to choose from and I am loving it. So happy that I made this purchase!
