Product has a solid build, functions as expected and yes we do expect years of service.
Would I purchase other Speed Queen products? Assuming the same level of quality, yes absolutely.

An outstanding dryer. My wife like everything about it and the filter cleaning system is as good as it gets. This dryer compliments very well the Speed Queen washer we installed at the same time as the dryer, both replacing:
-- A monster Sears front-loading limited water washing machine, which was forever
dirty, perhaps moldy and never would clean clothes, even adequately, often leaving
behind soap residue in the form of slime and;
--An accompanying front-loading Sears dryer, which was only adequate.

Cleaner laundry in far less cycle time than any prior machine. And it is very stable - no shake, rumble and crawl as with front load and impeller machines.

I love my Speed Queen Dryer

This Speed Queen Dryer replaces my 42-year-old Maytag Dryer. It's quiet, has a larger tub, and dries clothes so quickly. Sheets don't get tangled and balled up. It's large enough to adequately dry blankets and bedspreads. I love it!
