Never thought I would be excited over a dryer

Well it just makes sense to get the matching Dyer to our TC5 washing machine and so glad we did. We were looking for as basic,simple and ‘old school’ a machine as possible and this dryer hit all the bells. Simple turn dials,a large inner drum and a lint filter right in the front makes this a winner for us. It dries our clothing much quicker than our old one of course, and there is no need to add extra time since it gets the job done the first time! It’s super quiet for our ears, has settings we actually use and understand, and has a clean and basic appearance. At first we were going to keep our old one since it still worked and we are not fussy and didn’t mind not having a ‘matchy-matchy’ set, but it made sense to take the plunge and get it and so glad we did. It dries the clothing including heavy bath sheets and rugs the first time and leaves everything fluffy. It is made exceptionally well in the USA,has a great warranty and performs better than I thought. Didn’t realize I could get excited over a dryer but I am and proud to own and use a Speed Queen in my laundry life!

Very Disappointed!

I’ve had for a month. The first week the latch that hold the door shut broke. And, this week the timer is not working properly. It ran for 3 hours before I realized it had not shut off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not happy with my dryer

I like the Speed Queen washer but I'm not happy with the dryer. It doesn't dry well. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are still very damp and I have to run it again. I have to run the dryer twice per load. The other thing that I don't like is that it can look like it's off, but it continues running. All you hear is a very low electrical noise, If you don't notice it, it could get stuck running a long time using up electricity. I have sometimes found it still on the next morning. So I have to be very careful.

While I love my washer, I only like my dryer. It could be that I'm still getting to know it, but my clothes don't always dry unless I put it on the longest setting (70 minutes) and then they are very wrinkled. It should be fairly basic as there aren't a lot of technical parts on this dryer; however, I'm still trying to figure out what works for us.

Fantastic dryer so far. Gets the job done the first time. No more restarting the dryer because the clothes aren't dry yet. I like the ease of cleaning out the lint trap. Other brand dryers' traps were a pain to clean out, but this one is a breeze. Used my mother in law's fancy "modern" samsung dryer that had all sorts of fancy bells and whistles while we were house hunting.... it was okay, but I found I never needed and would likely never need to use any of the fancy features. Just more parts and things on it to break down the road. Speed Queen dryer is simple, gets the job done, and is built to last!

After hearing of the strong reputation of Speed Queen, I purchased a washer/dryer combo. The washing machine immediately leaked and now the dryer is leaving grayish streaks on my clothes. I wish I could return the set! My opinion is that these machines are not worth the investment.

So far not so good.

Only had our washer and dryer set for 2 weeks. Already had to have a tech out due to something burning, they don't even know for sure what's going on yet. Hoping it's only a belt, they aren't even confident what it is for sure yet. Thought we upgraded when buying this set from our LG set we had for almost 15 years that never had to be serviced but this isn't a good sign. I would not recommend this product at this point.

I am in love!!

Definitely the most durable machine I’ve ever had. I was spending a lot of time in the laundromat this year because I had a third child and my GE washer was so terrible. After noticing how good of a job the speen Queen did in the laundromat I decided I had to try that brand at home. Before I purchased, I reached out to a local appliance repair man and he told me 100% Speed Queen recommendation. He said to also get the one with the knobs, as original/old school you can get. Weeks have gone by since I’ve purchased my machines and I am still raving about them to my husband everyday. My whole family notices how much cleaner their clothes feel. I actually enjoy doing laundry now especially because of how fast the washer is!! Love the agitator for balance management. Deep fill option and no lid lock are also amazing!!
