Not what you’d expect of a dryer

I am pleasantly surprised at the quickness in the drying time. Most loads dry in half the amount of time as the Samsung dryer I previously owned. The dryer is much lighter & has a much smaller body than the newest dryers sold normally as in sets with front load washers. Although the body is smaller the capacity for the drying load is the same. The machine is American made & I am thrilled that it is. I hope to use this dryer for many years to come & I’m sure I will! TY Speed Queen for making a quality product that will hold u to daily use.

Commercial Quality for your home

All the federal regulations that supposedly make washers and dryers high-efficient are anything but, leading consumers to see commercial versions to get quality. While I admit SpeedQueen could do more to make these machines more attractive, I don’t really care what they look like but I do care how well they work. As for this dryer, it is excellent in functionality. The only functional improvements I would recommend is to make the lint basket removable for easier cleaning and have a function that disengages the “buzzer” when the door is open. All the other dryers I’ve owned, when I open the door the timer still runs, but the buzzer will not sound off. This drives my wife crazy when it goes off while she is reaching into the dryer. It’s kind of like hitting the car horn while your head is under the hood. She thinks she’s about to get electrocuted each time. Eventually she will remember to stop the timer, but that not a natural act before opening the dryer.

It’s smaller than my last washer but it makes no difference.. cleaner clothes in less time.. and the dryer is outstanding.. very happy with my choice to get speed queen..
