This machine is not as quiet as our last machine, which was a maytag and we had it for 28 years

I choose Speed Queen based on industry reputation and that I could get a large capacity dryer for residential use. Nice to have the ability to dry large items at home.

Simple-to-operate without lots of fancy electronics, prone to malfunctioning and expensive repairs. The machine is built/designed the old fashion way, when machines were built to last.
