The control on the dryer is not good. It is very hard to set on the position you want. The washer controls are not good. I would like to run a small amount of water in, put in soap and agitate to mix soap and water then let it fill up. I would also like to have a light setting for clothes that I don't want to agitate long. I figure a man who had never done laundry designed these. I had a set I bought in 2011 and they were wonderful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased a new dryer and had a warranty issue
Speed Queen made it right and after 3 months a new dryer was received

This washer is simplistic on design doing the job it is meant to do. For me the extra bells and whistles on other machines equals more maintenance issues. I really appreciate being able to lift the lid during fill to wash out laundry soap cup and mix in the soap prior to loading clothes. The deep fill ensures your clothes actually get moved in water, therefore truly cleaning. This machine being made here in the US also made this purchase a great one. Highly recommend!!

Very durable, quiet, and easy to use. Good Warranty. My one complaint is that it does not have a HIGH setting for drying as my last machine had, and therefore, if I am drying towels or sheets, I have to add another 20 minutes or so to get them fully dry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have only had this dryer for 3 weeks or so now, that being said, I do love this dryer, love the design, the size, the entire look of it. I have had to turn it back on a couple of times to finish drying clothes, not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is the dryer itself, trying to figure that one out, so not blaming that on the dryer right now. But as of now I would recommend this dryer for sure. I do have more peace of mind with the longer warranty than any other brands, I might add that was a main purchase point for me. Feels more like the appliances that use to be made back in the day when they lasted longer.
