Great except in older homes...

They both work great but the water output is so strong that it overflows the tube. I had a plumber come out and snake it, but, I still have the issue. My first Speed Queen set in a house built in 2003, it worked fine. My house now is built in 1968. Not sure what to do...don't want it to rust out from standing in water. At least it is on concrete out of a carport utility room. The price has increased drastically since Covid...hope it lives up to the Speed Queen reputation.

Beautiful machine! Low noise, cleans perfectly, clothes are noticeably with a better scent (or lack of) & love the simplicity of the settings! Best purchase I have made and will never recommend any other brand!!

Quirky but effective

The dryer dries clothes well. I purchased it because I am very satisfied with my SQ washer, so I assumed I would love the dryer as well. It dries the clothes well. The major problem I have with it is that the door MUST remain shut at all times, even when not in use. I feel this is unsafe, and is the first dryer I ever had that operated this way. The knob even moves when it is not spinning if I remove the clothes a bit early, then the buzzer sounds and the clothes are all folded and put away! Quite unnerving. This would not happen if the door could remain open. Also, if I suddenly have to run out and need to stop the dryer fo a while, I have to keep the damp clothes in the dryer with a closed door. Not a fan of that. The cycle selection knob is not able to be moved with any precision when
selecting a cycle. The door is super hard to open, the machine moves every time I open
the door. As stated the clothes dry well, but the design of this machine should be carefully looked at and reconsidered.
