works well-a bit loud

The washer dries clothes perfectly but I can hear the unit throughout my home. I have to close the doors to drown it out. My older unit didn't have the same issue.

Great Dryer

Speed Queen dryer is very effective, drys clothes thoroughly, even though drying cycles are often shorter than for other dryers. The average life span for this dryer is 25 years, and the dryer's warranty on all parts and labor is for 5 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Noisy Dryer

The dryer is very noisy as the drum rotates and is louder intermittently (tested both with and with out garments and the excessive noise remains). The drum or the drum holder sounds like it is either out of round or is not centered correctly or it could be both.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you have not already done so, please contact the dealer that you purchased from to schedule service to have the unit inspected. If they do not provide service you can find an authorized service company here: https://speedqueen.com/support/find-service/
You'll want to contact the service company to schedule a mutually agreeable date and time for them to come to your home. Once the technician is onsite, they will be able to diagnose and correct the issue. The technician can also call our Technical Service team at 920-748-3121 option #4 for assistance with any troubleshooting or if they have any questions while they are in front of the machine.

When you call to set up the service appointment be sure to provide the serial number of your machine. The service company will need that in order to file any necessary warranty claims with us.

Soft touch turn buttons not favourable...not certain on setting stop as bounces between settings.
Go back to certain click for setting selection...have older spped queen set as suc!

Love the light in the dryer. Love the options. My only concern is you almost have to force the knob to turn to the selection you need. Very stiff and hard to turn. Doesn’t seem right. Unlike the washer which moves normally.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't build them to last

This dryer has failed 3 times now. Still waiting on parts to fix it. This will be my last speed queen

Great upgrade!

Does a great job at drying the clothes and I really like the lint trap as it is sealed so less lint can get by and into the vent. It seems like it catches more lint than our old dryer. My only 2 minor complaints is there seems to be a hidden spot under the lint trap that socks like to hide out in but once you know it's there it's not a big deal. I wish the knob to select your dyer setting had a little more feel/feedback as it's not very precise on what you are selecting but it does get the job done.

Loud And The Interior Is Corroding!

I purchased this dryer in August 2023. Everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed corrosion starting along the lint trap and on the upper part of the door. The corrosion started within 4-5 weeks of owning the unit. This is concerning and unacceptable. I have never spilt anything corrosive near or in the dryer and take care of my appliances. I have been in contact with an approved repair contractor and they said there shouldn't be a problem as it's under warranty. The repair company said they will most likely replace with parts. My question is will this happen again? I bought a Speed Queen for their reputation and longevity. For what I spent I expected much more.
