For what I paid for this dryer, It should operate better than it does. It takes a long time to dry clothes on any cycle. The lint screen is located in the center of the door opening and is basically in the way.
After using our new Speed Queen dryer I found that the lint vent doesn’t work properly and I have to open the screen vent weekly and vacuum it out and disconnect the vent pipe and vacuum it out too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The dryer is not a high capacity machine. If you have a larger load it requires multiple cycles to dry. Also for very thick clothes....such as winter garments. Not comparable to my previous Samsung as far as capacity and dying ability.
Best Washer I ever bought. Will never go back to any others. Speed Queen is Made In USA and a well built Machine. It has an agitator in the middle which is way better than any High Efficiency Washer without the Agitator. Warranty that came with the washer was also the best and I did not have to pay for it, because Speed Queen has confidence in their product. USA MADE!

Sucking up a lot electricity

Even though it has a 5 year warranty, as soon as the dryer was installed it did not dry the clothes. At first I thought it was my imagination, called the company rep who said we are not in the business of replacing the product. Had to contact the warranty rep copy who sent out a service tech, they stated the heating element was bad. I am still waiting (4 months) for a new heating element to replace the defective one. According to the warranty company, they are making the products with defective parts in order to fulfill the purchase orders, then they will fix the machines once they are installed in the home. This is absolutely ridiculous since you spend an arm & a leg for a product that is built to last - NOT!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am disappointed with the quality of Thai machine. It works well, but the parts seem cheap and I haven’t heard back from customer service about my issue yet. The washer has a part that falls off. My dryer, it took me awhile to notice, but there is a part in the back of the inside where the clothes go. This piece has sharp jagged edges that will damage the clothes when they run against it as they get tossed around in there. I’m frustrated with the quality of this after hearing great things and spending more to get speed Queen.
