I love the washer and dryer. I would make changes though. Cycle times on the washer control panel would be helpful. I hate the side opening door. The door need to open down so i can take the laundry from the washer drop it in the door then push it into the dryer. The lint trap is also an issue as soon as you ope the dryer door clothes fall down and get lint all over them.

Performs beautifully

We had a heavy duty Kenmore set for 30 years!! Unbelievable reliability and quality. This Speed Queen set performs very much the same - beautifully. Smooth, quiet. We're 84 and 83 years old, and if they run thru the 5 year warranty it will probably be enough!! We can leave them to our kids, who hopefully can use them for many years.

NOT worth the $$$

This dryer is not worth the cost. I have to run a normal size load allot longer than my old set. The cool down is way too long and starts way before the load is dry. Then there is the LOUD and very OBNOXIOUS sound to signal the time is up. I have it all the way down and can still hear it in my basement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than I was expecting

Dryers aren’t as flashy as washers, so I wasn’t expecting to be immediately wowed. I just needed a dryer; I wanted one made in the USA that promises to last longer than 6 or 7 years, so I got this Speed Queen. I was pleased to actually find it leaps and bounds above my old Samsung. The sensor dry actually gets the load dry without me needing to restart it one or two extra cycles. The cool down tumble helps the clothes feel cool and less wrinkled by the time I take them out. I love this dryer! When we need a new washer, we will definitely buy Speed Queen!

Good dryer

This dryer is very good. Only fault I had was the regular drying cycle gets so hot that it ruined 2 of my covers for my dogs bed. It melted the fibers

Had some sort of grease on the drum

Our old speed queen dryer lasted 15 years so I purchased another one. This one works fine however had some sort of grease on the drum that I didn’t realize and it ruined some clothes. So I scrubbed and cleaned it off and am so far getting along.
