Wish I would have bought one sooner!

We’ve wasted so much money and on “fancy” appliances. But none of them lasted. Wish we would have bought the speed queens years ago

VERY EFFICIENT DRYER--WORKS GREAT

With our old dryer, we often had to run it for two cycles to get things really dry. That's not the case with our new Speed Queen--things get good and try the first time around. Seems relatively quiet too. Overall, it's doing what we wanted and expected it to do, so we're very happy with our purchase.

Faulty thermostat?

My dryer turned off without a signal. It just stopped. I smelled what seemed to be hot plastic. I opened the door to check the clothes. They were still wet. I tried to restart it without luck. I left the front door open for 10 minutes. Evidently it needed to cool down, as it started after that. I then immediately called Fred's Appliance. They will schedule a service call. I paid ALOT of money for the set. And, I better not be charged for a service call.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best washer/dryer we've owned.

Our previous Speed Queen washer/dryer was passed down to us and made in the early 90's. They served us and 4 kids for over 12 years. We purchased new set because we'll be passing the old set down to the kid.

So Happy with My Speed Queen Washer and Dryer

I absolutely love my Speed Queen, washer and dryer! My clothes seem a lot cleaner and the cycles seem a lot quicker than my previous washing machines. I had two previous brands of washing machine in the last six years that I did not like at all and got rid of them. One was a front loader which I did not like and the other took so long to go through the cycles. Both would get off-balance regularly as well. Then I started hearing good things about Speed Queen and decided to give them a try. I also wanted a machine with a center agitator again. The day I bought my machines, another neighbor went with me and bought herself a set also. While we were in the store, another woman came in with the same complaints that we had about our previous machines and also bought a set! The very next day while walking my dog in my neighborhood, I ran into another neighbor who was getting a delivery of a Speed Queen washer and dryer also! The word was definitely getting around! We all had the same complaints about our previous brands of machines coincidentally. Speed Queen products are worth the price for their quality and efficiency. I no longer dread washing clothes, in fact I look forward to it now! I especially like the wrinkle out feature on the dryer. It leaves my personal clothes at just the exact dampness to finish hanging dry and have absolutely no wrinkles whatsoever.

Simplicity Is Queen

I have enjoyed my dryer and how simple and fast it works to dry my clothes. If I could make one single suggestion it would be to change the handle to open the door and move it to the top of the door for ease of use and comfort to the wrist.

Best Washer and Dryer we've ever owned

We have had several washers and dryers over the years and after using my daughter's Speed Queen machines, we were sold on how quickly and efficiently they could handle a load of wash. We made a decision to spend the extra money and purchase.
