Great Upgrade!

My new dryer is so much better than my old one! It is quiet and has many drying options. Its biggest test that it accomplished and made me a lover: it dried antique feather pillows. I have never had a dryer that did that task so quickly. I recommend Speed Queen washers since I bought one 2 years ago. Now I have more to recommend.

I love my Speed Queen Dryer DR7. The performance of my dryer was great and it is working excellent. I wish the company will make a bigger drum for the washer, But I am happy with my Speed Queen dryer. I am waiting for Speed Queen Co. to make a bigger capacity of washer to load a king size of blanket or comforter and that will be my next purchase.

Hide higher expectations

My daughter and family of 5 love this machine so I bought it in her recommendation. I have been disappointed. The steam doesn’t seem to work properly and a repair man is coming out again to try and resolve. The pet feature did not remove any additional hair prior to washing and when I put the load in the dryer the lint trap was overflowing with dog hair and their so as much dog hair in the trap as there was in the laundry in a clump. I continually finding the lint trap is not large enough to accommodate many loads without over flow. Also find that the almost dry selection doesn’t dry clothes enough and the fully dry selection dries the clothes about 10 minutes too long. Had the machine about 2 months and it’s a family of 2. The repair service will be out next week to address the steam feature once again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dryer has replaced a 31 year old Maytag. It is amazing. Even has a light in it!

The buzzer at the completion of drying cycle needs to be louder. If you are not in the laundry room, you can't hear it.

I have purchased many dryers in the last 48 years. Always purchased a lower cost brand. Finally decided I was tired of replacing ever 5 years and bought speed queen. Very happy I did. It is quite and dries fast.
