I have a Speed Queen washer in both my Kansas homes and wouldn't have anything else. I got my Kansas washer first and when my Texas washer and dryer started showing their age, we checked out Speed Queen again. Being a newer model, my Texas set has some new features which I appreciate. I especially like that the newer model washer automatically adjusts to the size of the load. I am very happy with all my Speed Queen products.
Without a doubt absolutely the best washing machine we have ever had it’s like going back in time 30 years with the rugged heavy duty reliability, time saving machine with a 48 minute wash with all the clothes coming out stain free and clean, water fills actually submerses all the close the agitation is excellent noise level is very tolerable drain and spin cycles almost dry the clothes leaving minimal dryer time needed even with large loads. I could go on and on, I’m confident this machine will last 25+ years as stated in some reports. We had purchased an new GE HE machine 2 yrs ago and though it operated as it was designed we were constantly frustrated with stained and I cleaned clothes coming out of the GE after an average load of clothes took an hour and a half to complete very disappointed in all new HE washing machines until we researched and found this Speed Queen heavy duty industrial home clothes washer. More money but so worth every bit of the higher price to finally have a washer that we have complete confidence in cleaning any size load of laundry timely so much more efficient than the supposedly high efficiency machines from other manufacturers. I really cannot day enough excellent qualities about this Speed Queen we’ve had in two months and have zero negative issues to report. Well worth the higher price to get a trustworthy well made excellent operating clothes washing machine. We’ve lived in our current home for 31 years and can confidently tell you this is the finest clothes washing machine we’ve owned.
I’m disappointed that I cannot wash more than 4 bath towels at a time because it will put the machine into off balance, very frustrating. I have to do multiple small loads. Otherwise I like the machine.
I am an individual with extreme chemical intolerance, to all chemicals and second hand chemical I pick up on my clothing in stores, other's homes and restaurants. It is a challenge to get my clothing clean after exposure especially with all the excessive COVID cleaning going on everywhere. I feel the chemicals come out of my clothing better with this machine. I have had 2 front load machines over the past 15 years. Not happy with either. Major issues with keeping them running. My new top load Speed Queen is wonderful. The clothing appears to be much cleaner than my past machine, my family notices that even towels have more fluff. It is great because my last front load shook the house upon spinning, this is so much less, hardly noticeable. I was told it may be louder then my past machine, but I only notice the water sound upon starting, the rest is quiet, normal, expected. The only issue is for me personally, the top load lid doesn't seal with rubber like the front load, so when washing a load of chemically laced clothing, I find I have to get away during the wash cycle due to the off gassing of the chemicals through the lid, but not an issue for my family. Great machine, wonderful results, highly recommended! Price point very comparable to market, especially for what you get with the warranty. I am in my mid 50's, I do at least 10 loads a week due to my chemical issues. This is my 1st Speed Queen product and after a month using, I would buy again, it comes highly recommended by me. I did research for 2 years before going with this brand, I purchased from a local company who supported all my research and more!!
Finally my clothes are CLEAN! And laundry is done in an hour! Bought a new "high efficiency" washer, top loader, in 2017 and laundry took all day since each wash cycle took an hour or longer. And the clothes STILL weren't clean! Turns out it used very little water, spraying the clothes occasionally. An appliance service guy I know said not to buy anything but a Speed Queen. He was so right! FINALLY my clothes are CLEAN because this machine uses WATER to wash clothes! It's the real deal, a little pricey (but worth every cent), and my mood has improved considerably. My whites are white again! Woo hoo!
Exactly what I wanted. I have used the washer for 3 months now and couldn't be happier. In the past 10 years, we purchased two new "water savers". These were top of the line name brands. Neither washer was built to last. The second machine didn't even last through the warranty period. I liked the larger capacity size, but our clothes weren't getting clean. I began to notice after we purchased the second machine that it just wouldn't use enough water to clean the clothes. I love the way the Speed Queen washes, the agitation, the rinse, everything. If the machine lasts as long as the warranty--it is well worth the additional cost and wait time.
