Wow. We have been married 30 years and can’t tell you how many washers we have had... maybe 4 -6? But this washer is amazing. After raising our kids we have started again with fostering in hopes to adopt the 4 we have now. Needless to say with 4 kids under the age of 4 and the wife and I, seems like the washer is constantly going. One of the things we noticed right away is how clean the clothes smelled. And the towels are fluffier.
Can’t say enough about it. We will look at the dryer by Speed Queen when ours goes out.
Had a front load high efficiency machine before this which was awful ... clothes had dry spots coming out which meant not enough water to clean the clothes. This machine gets the clothed clean !!! Noticed how much "fluffier" the clothes are and smell clean. With the old machine the shirts would still smell dirty. I love this new machine. My only complaint would be that there is no soap dispenser, you just dump it in the bottom of the tub.
Amazing so far. I've never heard of this brand and it was recommended by my brother and a friend. I can honestly say that the quality, "feel" , factory warranty and made in the USA makes me proud. Seen so many companies outsourced their products and cheap parts get introduced, but this is old school quality meets modern technology. I will never switch brands ever. I've now become a salesman for this company.
I actually did a survey asking what washing machine to get , and hands down it was Speed Queen. I now remember what clean clothes are really suppose to smell like and feel like compared to my past purchases of washing machines. One day when able I hope to get a dryer since I now realize what I have been missing out in with my old washer.
My wife wanted a top loading washer that previous replacement cycle in our home but I resisted and fought her on it. I now greatly regret that decision. I thought top loaders were "old technology" and front loader was the only way to go - I was wrong. Don't tell her... Our clothes smell SO much better. Are they cleaner? Don't know that I thought our clothes weren't clean in the old front loader, but they do smell better. The top loader is also much faster than I expected. Our front loader had some long cycles, even in normal mode. This Speed Queen is quick. Only time will tell if it lasts longer than our front loaders. I do have 2 'issues' that have turned out to be non-issues. First, the first couple of loads had fabric softener residue after the cycle finished. I started using less fabric softener and then diluting it to fill the reservoir. This seems to have 'fixed' the issue without changing the end effect of fresh smelling clothes. I was probably using too much to begin with, but neither the washer or Downy seemed to have clear instructions on amount. Second, I love the variety of modes this Speed Queen offers, but I'm very disappointed that I have to keep the owner's manual handy so I know the "special mode" codes.
I love this machine. We've had it a little over a month now and our clothes are noticeably cleaner. I attribute that to the ability to select the water level unlike the old machine that chose the water level for me. Further, some of the special settings are very helpful. And, I am so glad it is a top load. It is a smaller capacity than my old, but this has not been a problem at all. I bought this machine on the advice of my appliance repair man after I complained that the Maytag machine I owned was done after only 10 years. So, thank you Speedqueen. When it is time to replace the dryer I will be buying a speedqueen.
One of the best washers I have purchased and hoping the last for awhile. Was purchasing new washer every five years! My SpeedQueen is the top of the line, with all the botton, works wonderful. I can wash anything in it even my shower curtain, no more soap sum. I would say spend the money get the BEST! AMERICAN MADE!!!!
While Speed Queen appliances don't look as modern as Samsung or LG their size as a traditional washer and dryer, they are better suited for a laundry room. Speed Queen appliances are bullet proof. They are built with superior metal parts versus plastic. They truly are commercial grade and built to last.
