Lordy, but I've had several washers & dryers, none of which last long nor lasted well. Recently, I met the manager of a local appliance store who gave me beaucoup particulars about Speed Queen and she sold me!! A) I like this lady a lot, B) Now I love Speed Queen. And as it happens, I also love the good people of Wisconsin where my set originated and where the company headquarters. As a quick aside, I can tell you that all the folks I've met face-to-face (or by phone) from Wisconsin have been over-the-top. WAY over-the-top. Gotta be somethin' in the water up there. Anyway, if you're thinking of investing in a Speed Queen product you're doing the right thing. Their appliances are genuine quality. Yes, really.
After checking out all of the newer high efficiency washing machines that save water, we read the reviews and all seemed to have mixed reviews. We knew of the Speed Queen reputation and the fact that they were the leaders in manufacturing commercial units and we purchased the TR7000 and matching dryer due to the 7 year warranty and the fact that Speed Queen uses these touch controls on their commercial products. My wife loves these units so much we just purchased another washer for our home in Florida. The premium in price is worth it as our clothes always come out fresh and clean due to the number of options available. Best of all it is quiet and faster than other HE washers we used..
It's only been a month but so far, loving the new Speed Queen. Super simple to use, very quiet, and clothes come out clean and well spun. We had two bad experiences with front loaders (one a Samsung, the other an Electrolux) and swore off both the brands and the style. A friend recommended Speed Queen and the local appliance store seconded the high opinion of the machine and the company.
I have wanted a Speed Queen for several years. I have only heard great things about them. When my old washer quit working, I didn’t look at anything but a Speed Queen. With it being built in the USA - that was a major plus!
I have long wanted a commercial grade washing machine and Speed Queen was the clear recommendation of appliance repairmen with whom I spoke. So I was so inclined when I went to the retailer to make a purchase. When I saw the construction quality and difference in build compared to other well known brands, I was hooked. Seeing the display drive shaft that is machined from solid billet aluminum was the capstone. While all three models in the 7000 series are mechanically the same, I chose the7003wn because of greater wash cycle features available in the electronic controllers. And while the others have switches (which makes you think less electronic/more durable) all have a mother board, do I wasn't dissuaded. Moreover, the longer warranty was of value to me for what I considered a modest price difference. I recommend the Speed Queen to anyone seeking a high quality, durable washing machine. Plus, it's made in the USA!
I just bought my Speed Queen and after my first washing of whites didn’t realize how unclean my front loader was. My whites are so bright now. It is quiet and love that it fills up with water to do a true cleaning of my clothes.
We had a bearing going bad in a Maytag that was over 10 years old. Speed Queen was recommended and so far it has not disappointed us. It is quiet, clothes are clean and the variety of settings are more than adequate. The 7 year in home full warranty provides peace of mind. Roll Tide!!!
