After over 20 years with my previous washer, my new Speed Queen machine is a whole new experience. The more I use it the more I like it. Although it is a new model it is not so high tech that I can't operate it easily. I am a little disappointed in the rating it received from Consumer Reports as to the cleaning ability. I feel that the cleaning ability of a machine has a lot to do with the detergent one uses so it was not a deterent when I purchased the machine. Where I purchased the machine I was given glowing reports as all of the people there owned this machine although older models. I feel I have made a wise purchase plus have a 10 year warranty.

Finally a washing machine that puts the user back in control. I get to determine how much water a load will use. The results are cleaner clothes and clothes that I can take out of the washer without having to untangle them.

Great machine, cycle selection is perfect for our life style. Had unit for six months love the functionality, no more twisted and half washed clothes. Spin cycle almost drys clothes reduced time in dryer. Cost may seam high but 10 year warranty will more than offset the cost.

Hands down one of the best appliance purchases we have ever made in 46 years together! The Speed Queen is so much faster that other HE washers. It is gentle. The clothes are so much dryer that they dry in half the time. We have a HE washer/dryer set upstairs, but the Speed Queen cuts the full laundry time in HALF. The Speed Queen was pricey, but the quality and performance is worth every dime!
