Frankly a bit disappointing

I bought washer and dryer. In the washer, large items, such as sheets, twist on themselves in almost a tight knot. So it doesn't look like they can get thoroughly washed. The lid lock is not optional, which is quite frustrating in a household without children.
In the dryer, a bottom sheet wraps around the top sheet so it doesn't dry properly. The lint collector is screwed in so it cannot be taken out. It's hard to clean and as you are doing so, some lint flies back into the dryer. I was hoping for a better experience.

We're saddened to hear your experience hasn't been the best so far, and we'd like to see if we have any tips to help! We've found that sheets can be more easily tangled in a washer if overloaded or if heavier items (like towels or jeans) are added to the load with them. A large load may consist of 2 queen sized sheets, a few pillowcases, and lighter garments like nightgowns or pajamas. This rule can apply to dryers as well because if there isn't enough room for tumbling, they may became twisted together or balled up. Another optioin to help prevent tangling in a dryer is something that will help prevent static - like wool balls, dryer sheets, or the Steam functions! From there, the lint filter is secured so it doesn't get caught and pulled into the drum.

I Am Not A Mechanic

I am not a mechanic and, though I have a backyard garden, my clothes do not get heavily stained with dirt and oil. So far, this has been the best washing machine I have ever purchased. I tried a front load and knew I made a mistake right away. This machine gets my clothes clean and does not beat them up to do it. Once I discovered it could handle my king size comforter with ease, I knew I had a winner. The only thing I would change if I could, would be to eliminate the lid lock because I would like to peek in. Top quality Washing Machine!

Over the past years (approximately 25 - 30), we have purchased several washing machines. We were only mildly satisfied with each of them. When our last Whirlpool Cabrio quit working, friend suggested a Speed Queen. I investigated the SQ Washing Machines and was surprised at the price; however, after reading reviews and talking with other owners, we purchased a TR7003WN Model.
After several weeks, my wife could not be happier with any other washing machine. The price was well worth it considering the quality and features (made in the USA with commercial parts).
I highly recommend Speed Queen.

I love new washer. Easy to use. Taught the kids how to use it. Now they are doing their own laundry. (Suddenly they realized it wasn't that much fun)
Great washer, does a much better job than the old Whirlpool in less time with one fourth the noise!

Absolutely the Very Best

After 15 years of owning the really last well made Maytag washer, I decided to go back to a top load washer and determined to buy the highest rated machine on the market. There are many horror stories out there about rapid failures of many brands, including the formally well built and reliable brands. Now, the only brand that is consistently rated outstanding is Speed Queen. In addition, two friends who had recently purchased Speed Queen advised me to buy one. When my Maytag finally died, I immediately ordered the Speed Queen top load TR7. I have been amazed at how large the tub is, how quietly the machine operates, how many cycles are available, and how clean my clothes are after washing. I love all of the settings AND that I can get enough water in the machine to actually wash the clothes! In addition, I feel confident of many years’ good service and how wonderful it is that my washer is made in the USA. I have only had my Speed Queen a month, but I’m already a convert. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s worth it. You really haven’t saved any money if you have to buy a new washer every 3-5 years, not to mention the inconvenience and aggravation. Buy the machine that will last at least 25 years and for which has a warranty for 7 years. It’s the absolute best in the industry. This is how companies used to treat customers. It seems Speed Queen still does! I have great hope to have this washer for many years!
