Black Clothes

I am happy with most results I'm receiving with my new SQ washer EXCEPT with my dark(navy & black items) loads. I use Woolite Dark liquid detergent but I still get white residue on most my clothes...HELP!!!

We recommend letting the washer fill with a little bit of water first, then adding the detergent so it has something to dilute in. Make sure you are not using too much soap. It should also be noted that soap dissolves better in warm or hot water versus cold. Normal Eco cycle, for example is going to be cold water only. So if you are using that cycle I would switch to another cycle so you can get hot or warm water.
It's possible that the soap could be reacting to the type of water you may have as well. Some times minerals in the water will attach to the soap if there is build up and you will see it on the darker colors. We would suggest to wash the items with no soap to get the build up out, then try just a teaspoon of detergent. If you are still seeing residue try 1/2 cup vinegar as fabric softener as this will help if it is minerals clinging to the fabrics.

We bought this machine after losing our front loader after 20 years of use and dealing with the monthly cleanings due to the buildup of sludge in the door seal. The top loader is a breath of fresh air, it’s always dry inside after a wash, it’s clean and it also smells clean, no musty or mold type smells with this washer. We absolutely love it and would recommend to anyone that is hesitant on buying a top loader. It has great room for large loads and sits up high enough, no more bending over to get your clothes out of the washer!

Top loader for a change, many options, washes quietly and love the guarantee. Had a Whirlpool Duet front loader I hated and it died in 9 years. This one comes highly recommended so hope it continues to please

Takes me back to when appliances were well built

This machine takes me back to mom's old machine that was built like a tank and washed clothes the way they were supposed to be washed. I had a similar one years ago that I decided to let go in an effort to "save money on my water bill". I purchased a HE upright washer and absolutely hated it from the minute I purchased it. The one saving grace of that HE machine was the glass top. Who would have thought that I would enjoy watching clothes being washed as much as I did. I only wish the Speed Queen had a glass top also. In all honesty I thoroughly enjoy watching the clothes through the glass top when I'm high.

Love this washer

Washers these days aren’t built like they used to be - except for this one. It’s the first machine we’ve had in many years that hasn’t acted like it’s going to fall apart in the first 2 to 3 years of use. Other washers bang and walk all over the washroom floor on a spin cycle, but the Speed Queen handles it smoothly and quietly. Thanks for making a product worth buying!
