Best washing machine I've ever had

This replaced a fancy frontload Samsung that we'd been limping along for a few years and was about 6 years old. Ready for no nonsense top loader that we wouldn't constantly be having to clean filters and fixing.
I'm nothing short of blown away. The autofill is impressive. I chose this one over the tc for being more gentle on fabrics and being able to choose small, medium, or large on water settings. I wanted to be able to override autofill, but I haven't had to. It adds more water if it doesn't think it has enough.
This machine took stains off towels I thought were permanent in the first wash.
My favorite feature is that you can set long soak cycles. I can soak a load of whites to revitalize them in oxi-clean all night and program it to finish about when I wake up in the morning and I can pop it in the dryer.
The capacity is surprisingly large. I didn't replace my Samsung dryer and I can't dry all the towels the speed queen can wash all at the same time. Easily takes care of a fluffy queen size comforter.
I have 6 messy kids and this washing machine takes out all the grime and stains every time. I was constantly rewashing laundry in my front loader and needed to use laundry sanitizer on any smelly things so I don't know how much water I was actually saving. So nice finally having their comforters really clean in one wash.
I primarily use the heavy duty cycle as I've heard eco is just there to fit regulations. I'm so happy they make this washing machine. They updated it in 2019 and 2021, so maybe it's just a better machine than when it was reviewed 4 years ago? It's awesome.

Washing machine

My first load, an error light went on and it was very frustrating as I was excited to have a new machine. I called the dealer and I was instructed to unplug it, which worked. It keeps happening, so I do have to have a repairman come and look at it. I’m glad for the great warranty. Hopefully it will all work out.

I have been hearing from friends about their Speed Queens and researched it. When I realized they had been used for years by commercial laundry needs I was impressed. Then learning they are made in America, I was anxious to get one

We got this machine about a month ago, and it was life changing. I have bought 3 machine in the last 10 years. I've had Samsung, Kenmore and LG. I'm so happy with the warranty. Taped the receipt and dated the back of my new Speed Queen. My new machine is quiet and washes really well. Thrilled with my Speed Queen!!!

It's fine

I'm giving it a 4 star because it doesn't fully run the fabric softener through. There is always a layer of softener at the bottom of the tub at the end of the cycle and I use 1/2 water 1/2 softener. I'm not sure it's worth the price.

Disappointed in quality

We have heard nothing but amazing things about Speed Queen washers and dryers. Our non-SQ washer and dryer sequentially broke over the coarse of a year. We paid a hefty premium to get Speed Queen replacements. Part way into our first year, our washer lock started to act up. It prevented us from consistently running laundry, which is a problem with six people in our family. The replacement process took two weeks and the repair guy said there actually may be another part that needs to be fixed. I'm only hoping that this was a one--time glitch and the pair hold up for a very, very long time like we were led to believe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Washer

This is a really nice washing machine. Appears to be really solid and well made. Quiet.
Ours was delivered with a damaged front panel and we are patiently waiting for Speed Queen to send new panel to Max's in Traverse City Mi. I would have given a 5 star but this came from the factory damaged as the box it was delivered in was not damaged.
