I love this machine! I had to wait 3 weeks for delivery - but it was well worth the wait. I appreciate knowing how much time remains on each wash cycle. The spin function is awesome. My clothes are clean again. The only drawback - I submitted the Speed Queen postcard the first week of September to request a machine manual (easier for me to read printed material over online material) and have yet to receive it.

My old front load washer was on it's last leg, so we back-ordered this set and received them just in time. We were wary going from our faithful front load Duet washer/dryer to this set, but they came highly recommended, so we took a chance. My wife is only 5'2", so we were concerned with her having to reach to the bottom of the tub, but it has not been a problem. The tub is not as "deep" as some other newer machines we've looked at (which is a good thing!). Another concern was the agitator taking up room, however that has not been an issue either. It has washed large loads without a problem; and while not recommended, my mom washed a king size comforter in her TR5 with no issues. The water noise and pump noise are on par with our old washer, but the spin cycle is incredibly quiet! Not to mention you can balance a coin on this one when it is running! This is honestly the most rock solid / balanced washer I've ever had; cudos to the SQ engineers on that! On a side note, a week or two after receiving our new set, my wife and I both had the same thoughts. We both noticed that our clothes actually smell cleaner; and I did not expect that. You'd think a washer is a washer, but they do smell fresher / cleaner!

Fabric softener dispenser gets dirty and doesn’t dispense well. Softener gets on cloths and leaves spots.

However, we can provide tips on avoiding undissolved fabric softener: Fabric softener dissolves best in hot or warm temperatures and with a sufficient amount of water. Love this machine. It uses just the right amount of water, no more, no less. Love the many options to wash items. The soak cycle is a great option. You can do heavy loads and it doesn’t get off balanced. I feel very confident in our clothes getting cleaned thoroughly. Pricey, but worth the cost. It also has a 7 year warranty that comes with the product.

I bought the Speed Queen washer because it was made in the United States with US parts. I have not been disappointed in the purchase. It was priced higher than other washers and I have had it a few months but overall it is the quietest washing machine I have ever had. Once the water is in the machine I have to check on it to see if it is still running. The buttons are easy to understand, wash cycles are easily adjusted. My husband works in the woods, and is usually stinking of diesel fuel and smoke. This machine cleans better than any of the other machines I have had. I only have to wash twice on the heavy duty cycle to get the smell out when before it was 3 -5 times.
