Electronic Failure First Month

Research for an American made washer. Have heard about Speed Queen as top rated but expensive. Purchased the TR700 and paid extra for delivery. When installed they left out water strainers and rubber foot pads. Found them in the bag that was left with operation guide. I ended up installing those. Washing machine worked great for about three weeks then started throwing error code 65. Very little error code information on speed queens website and not very user friendly at all. Ended up calling company I purchased machine at. No help there I was told to call authorized repair shop. Repair Shop Customer service there is on their time so lost a days work waiting for service to show. Told yep mother board needs replacing. About 2 weeks later get call from service to schedule appointment to come back and install new mother board. Another day of work I will have to burn waiting on service tech to arrive. Maybe I just got a lemon or bad unit but highly disappointed all together. Store should have replaced this washer with another one seeing it was brand new. But it is what it is and there is not much a consumer can do about it these days

It took me a while to get used to this washer. I find I use a lot less detergent than my 30 year washer. I find that all heavy soil (on jeans) need to be pre-treated or it doesn’t come clean. Otherwise seems to be cleaning and doing a good job.

We purchased the SpeedQueen TR7 after a failed replacement by another manufacturer. The switch back to a top loader was to end the frustration with the quality of the consumer front load washers. The smells from the seals and lack of reliability. Switching to SpeedQueen was a easy choice after a friend recommended them to us. We were glad to still be able to use the existing HE detergent we had in them too.

I love the Washer but we have had nothing but trouble with the Dryer. It keeps leaving check marks like on our whites Speed Queen has replaced the stainless drum with a white drum, it has cut down on the marks but every now and then it will leave those marks

Very happy with my purchase and have owned this set about 6 months. The most used cycle is Perm Press. It does a good job and is super quiet. I do not use the Normal/Eco mode cycle as it doesn't clean / rinse as I would like. At first I was concerned after reading other reviews that this machine wouldn't clean my laundry properly but I am able to select other cycles and add pre-wash, soak, and extra rinse as well as selecting the soil level. My last washer was a front loader and sounded like a plane taking off during the spin cycle. I can barely hear this one! The laundry closet is in a hallway just off the family room and now we can enjoy a movie while doing the laundry. I have a family of 4 and my son's are over 18. My typical laundry day is Saturday and I wash about 8 loads.

I hope you make good on the 7 year warranty. The machine worked well for one week. Then I got a er 65 error code. Still working through it wit the help of a warranty tech. Waiting for a part.
