Great, seemingly very well-made machine, but small. Even though there are just the two of us, I've had to do laundry every other day to keep up with winter clothing. In the summer, I think I could get by with every 3 days. As many others have said, I'm sure, no hope of king size bedspreads or comforters fitting and I was unable to fit a queen size heavier blanket either. Also, despite following directions, some of my laundry comes out very as though the machine twisted it and wrung it by hand! Cleans most articles well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are so pleased with our new Speed Queen. We purchased it 3 months ago, and so far,
it has been wonderful. The laundry is clean now, not like with our 2011 washer that never had enough water to do a thorough wash. The autofill setting is spot on, and we enjoy having the option to have either a full rinse or eco rinse. And, getting a 10 year, bumper to bumper warranty is the icing on the cake! We would definitely recommend this appliance to any of our friends looking for a new washing machine.

Did the research on Consumer Reports website. Spoke with our local appliance shop (Mom & Pop type of store, not a big box store) owner. He sells the most of Speed Queens out of all of the brands. We trust him as his sold us our last washer & dryer over 15 years ago - it finally went kaput. Needed a true workhorse of a washer as hubby is a mechanic w/ dirty, nasty uniforms. Clothes are clean, it does what the CR reports says it does. We wanted something American made and a durable machine with good customer service and accessibility to parts when / if they're needed. Our son & his family were here for a visit and they used and commented on the ease of use, the quietness and getting things clean.
