This washer is ok. Not spectacular. My reason for only a 3 star rating is that the fabric dispenser is an awful design. I used a SQ commercial at an employer's home and it was the same. The dispenser throws softener AFTER the cycle is finished. Consequently, there's softener in the bottom and all over the clothes. This necessitates an additional rinse. EVERY TIME. This is a waste of water and time.
This is a honest review. After 20 years of using the same washer and loving it ,I was in was shocked at what the market had to offerred in the line of washing machines. I needed a new washer and ,I had no clue the market had changed so dramatically...why did i purchase a TR7Speed Queen? The idea of having a commercially well known brand at home was appealing. The 10 year warranty on parts was amazing ...so i purchased it . After watching a number of negitive reviews i was very confussed and thought did i make a huge mistake? The dealer assured me the reviews i watched were old ,not accurate and he loved this washer ,i trust him he has never let me down in the 28 years and every appliance i own is from his store,as well as my entire family also purchases from him. That was why I decided to do my own tests and ignore the reviews...this was based on my washing needs.. At first I was unhappy with theTR7 and the way it did not get my clothes clean at first and then i had to really adjust the how I did laundry...i had to switch my detergent this washer uses less water and needs far less detergent as well as a little more thought about how i placed the clothes in the washer. And on "Echo "cycles you can NOTuse liquid fabric softeners ..you cant just jam the laundry in and hope for the best. My old washer was heavy duty commercial grade too, old style agitation. Basically it moved those clothes so hard it was like I took them to a river and pounded them against a rock. Times have changed and I would like to have my washer clean the clothes gently and economically.. This TR7 washer does not agitate like the old style washer I had ,its a gentle agitation and the clothes gentle move against each other..this was all new to me .
There are so many great features on the TR7 and I am loving the "specail cycle "selection. I do usually choose my load size ,I find that often the "auto fill" just doesnt get the clothes clean as I hoped i like the option to pick my size of load it also uses a bit more water,..I also feel the option to choose the faster speed it great if i need a quick clean. In all honesty...If I had a job where my clothes got grimy and full of stains this washer may disappoint, not sure how well it would do but i will post if I do a test on that issue, it may take a bit of presoaking and stain spotting with a special product and figuring out what cycle to use, I have not had the chance to try on huge grimy stains ,...the small stains on my towles and cleaning rags all come out so far and I am happy with that. I recently had to was my kitchen 5x7 braided rug,it was stained and after spot treatments and using the wash cycle for sheets "P4" I was pleasantly surprized with the job well done. All in all I relyed on my old days of working in a laundromat that used top of the line Speed Queen washers and Dryers, to make this choice, and how I do laundry. Having the same quality in my home was a great choice. I look forward to purchasing the Speed Queen dryer also while the special offer on parts is available.
I absolutely love the Speed Queen machines we purchased a few months ago. Over the past several years, we've gone through about 3 washer/dryer sets. The Speed Queens are commercial grade and built to last.
Speed Queen has more than impressed me with this washer! It exceeds in quality, functionality and (of course the most important) how it cleans laundry. We shopped for over six months checking every other brand and reviews before we bought our Speed Queen. Every aspect of the machine feels sturdier and higher-grade quality than anything else on the market and it is practically silent - even in full spin. It's superior by far to our two previous washers from other manufacturers. Both of which were cheap and rickety compared to solid manufacturing of the Speed Queen, and both of which we had repeated services problems on.
The delayed start doesn't function properly and that is the reason I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a fisher paykel washer and dryer for many years before getting the speed queen. Speed queen is stainless steel and outperforms any washer and dryer that I know of.
Purchased about a month ago and I think I’ve done laundry everyday. I’ve had the front load and agitator free models but I don’t regret so far going back to the old style. Seems to get clothes clean.
