Works very well - when it works

Purchased the pair of Speed Queen washer/dryer TR7 and TR5. I would prefer that the dealers be "encouraged" to make sure you know the washer does not include any hot/cold water lines and the dryer does not include a power cord or vent line.
Both units work very well and I would say they meet or exceed expectations. The washer worked well for the first 3 loads then we started getting ER65 error message. This requires you unplug the unit, wait 3 to 5 minutes, plug it back in and the error clears. Our unit then went into error mode after each wash cycle. Support was sent out and the lid latch sensor was replaced and a new latch was installed. This worked for about 3 more loads then went back into error mode. While waiting for the next repair visit, the error mode cleared and has not returned. We've now had the unit for 6 weeks and it works normally - not sure if the error will return. Otherwise we've had no issues. I would recommend this model to a friend with the notice that we had these initial error issues.

I’ve had several front loading washers such as Miele, Electrolux in the last 30+ years, but this top loading Speed Queen is by far the best!

This machine is fast, quiet, sturdy, and effective in getting laundry clean. It has the feel of a commercial washer. It is an expensive machine but I would be hard pressed to recommend any other brand to anyone in need of a new washer.

This replaced a 7 year-old GE washer/dryer/ The Speed Queens are quieter and have many more washing and drying options.
