it is very quite, cleans the clothes well, and has many settings for all types of cleaning. I should have purchased this years ago. only negative i've found is it doesn't fill with the lid up. I like to rinse my detergent cup.

No more mold smell

After owning three upright washers and dealing with mold we bought a speed queen. I really like the soak setting. Ours arrived dented on the lower front edge. It would have been too hard to return since it was shipped. Plus we already took our upright down the stairs. So too much work.

Old school reliability with modern touches

Been through several other washers by other brands. All have failed by having cheap parts that wear out. We have been searching for an old school type washer that reliable and sturdy. We found that in this Speed Queen. More expensive than the other - maybe. Although when compared against the costs and frustration of multiple repairs for the same part that fails…the Speed Queen comes out a winner.
