Great machines, but trouble with..

It does a great job washing and drying clothes. Seems to be easy enough with proper settings on delicates, active wear, and hand wash items. Only issue I am having is the fabric softener dispenser has been leaving stains on our clothes even with proper washing. And I do wish there was a steam setting in the dryer, but that’s me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still getting used to the washer

This is still a fairly new purchase so we're still getting to know the machine.
So far, we are having pretty good results. Clothes are getting clean.
But, we haven't figured out the secret to getting the whites white. We've tried bleach, hot water wash, etc. but still not completely satisfied. Maybe our whites are too old but maybe not.

So far, so good!

I had owned the same Maytag for 24 years and wanted the best to replace it in hope that we could get at least ten years out of a new machine. All the reviews pointed us toward Speed Queen since Maytags are not what they were 24 years ago. I love the size of the timing and the Favorites that we can set. The machine is supposed to be ultra quiet. It is not ultra quiet. It’s not even quiet. That is my only complaint.

Love My Speed Queen

After my 38 year old Maytag washer died, I was worried about buying a new washer because the repairman who had kept my old washer going with very few visits over the years said most new washers were lucky to make it 4 or 5 years. When I knew he couldn’t fix the old Maytag this time, I asked him what brand he recommended and he said Speed Queen (he does not work on them or sell them so he wouldn’t be making any money off me). He did say they were pricey but had a good warranty. I had already researched other brands (never even heard of Speed Queen until he recommended them) so I knew prices on other brands. Yes, my Speed Queen was more expensive but it comes with a 7-year warranty. If I bought a different brand and bought an extended warranty (none of which is 7 years), I would end up spending about the same amount of money. The new Speed Queen is very quiet and has many choices of water level, water temperature, type of laundry (heavy duty, permanent press, etc). I’ve read a Speed Queen can be expected to last 25 years. Since I am 76, even if I’m alive 25 years from now, I probably won’t be doing my own laundry by then so I expect I will never have to buy another washing machine (thank goodness).

Best Washing Machine Since the 70’s

This is the best washer I’ve had since the early 70’s. Easy to operate and superior cleaning. I like the agitator.
