This washer is built like a tank. It has EVERY washing option you can imagine! This is my second Speed Queen. I gave my former one to my son and I bought new!
I live in SoCal which has many different opportunities to go to the beach, mountains or deserts. All have different laundry challenges & this machine can wash them all!
My machine is about two months old and it’s my favorite washing machine of all time. I’m 75 & known in my family as the Laundry Queen!
I decided on Speed Queen when my best friend bought one. I visited, used the machine and HAD TO HAVE ONE!
I don’t let my laundry pile up, I do about 1-2 loads a day! Every load is washed perfectly as this machine has many options & has a handy memory for your favorite settings.
There is nothing I DO NOT LOVE about my Speed Queen! I’d recommend it without reservations. It’s better, and cheaper, than every machine they try to sell you at the Big Box or Department Stores! I’ve owned plenty of machine during my lifetime and this Speed Queen is HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE BEST THERE IS! Color me happy!

Love my Speed Queen. Did my research and found on the Women in Agriculture page that they recommended the Speed Queen. We are poultry farmers and cattle farmers and have really dirty laundry at times.:) It gets my laundry super clean. Highly recommend the Speed Queen.

Love my washer and dryer. I could not stand the odor and mildew that I got from my prior washer. I was assured that this galvanized stainless steel would not do that and I am happy to say it has not at all. It holds a good size load, cleans great and I like the retro look. And I also enjoy the almost dry setting on the dryer so my clothes don't get too hot and over dried and the fluff setting for when I leave a load in there and keep forgetting to take it out and fold. By far my favorite washer and dryer I have owned in 25 years!

Quiet but cleans

I had used Speed Queen washers and dryers in the coin Laundromats and my clothes were just cleaner. The home washer just didn't do the job and well was loud in operation, so at five years of ownership it had done its last wash.
I really didn't do any research on Speed Queen, I didn't think I needed to because I knew they cleaned my clothes. However, I didn't know what type of machines they had for home use top loader or front loader, agitator or not, cost and warranty. I knew I wanted a top loader and a good solid warranty, I bought the TR7 based on the seven year warranty. However, I asked about Speed Queen company, because they don't have any fancy commercials or advertisements. Speed Queen is made in the US, by a US company and they ONLY makes washers and dryers, I was sold on that statement.
I am beyond over the moon on my TR7, this washer cleans my clothes and the spin cycle gets the water out. This is important, because I use a clothes line to dry my clothes. The TR7 washer and keypad for different settings, cycles and water temperatures is user friendly. My only gripe with the TR7 is it quiet, too quiet, for something gets my othes phenomenally clean I only know its on when the water is filling the tub.

Don't believe Consumer Reports

Consumer reports says that this does not clean well in their standardized tests. It cleans just as well as our old washer which supposedly scored higher in their testing. Another complaint from consumer reports was the tub was kind of small. I can fit anything into this machine I could in my old one and that is more than enough. The last complaint of consumer reports is that it did not have enough features. I have used some of those washing machines with "lot's of features", but you are never going to use half of them and this speed queen model we bought has more than enough features for anything you might want to do, including 8 special functions for a variety of added versatility, including denim and eco heavy duty (it is in one of the things given to you when you get your speed queen, read it it is very helpful). In the end Consumer reports standardized testing does not reflect in anyway in the day to day laundry that most people who will use this machine will do. This machine will clean your clothes until your children grow up graduate high school, college, any post graduate degree that is offered, get married, and have kids of their own, which in my view is a much better Value than added functions or some vague standard test that does not reflect how clean it gets your ordinary laundry. The best part is when your kids get to an age they do their own laundry it is way quieter than any other machine i have ever used, so you can sleep at night when your kids do their laundry because they forgot to do it and they urgently need cloth's for tomorrow. One last thing, this is a very solid machine, that is heavier than other machines, does not dent or deform when I put a similar amount of clothing on top of it like it did my old washer, very nice.
