Great Washing Machine

Purchased about 8 months ago. Excellent quality and performance so far. We purchased this to replace a front loading machine that had developed problems with mildew and odors and was difficult to clean. The laundry room now smells fresh and clean!

Not enough water with autofil

The machine is super quiet and washes well. Would be nice to have small, med, large, extra large and super levels of water. The large was super on my old machine and the medium was large. Auto fill does not provide enough water. I have to put the spin on max for jeans, sweat pants, and sweat shirts.

Don't Let Capacity Numbers Fool You

This washing machine (on paper and numerically) doesn't sound or look like it has the ability to was large items. Honestly there isn't a comforter in our home from king size to everything below that it can't effectively wash. Because of the way it washes it is also very effective at getting things CLEAN. Look it up....it pushes water THROUGH the clothes and not the clothes around the water. The result is cleaner laundry with less soap and less hasels. I have recommended this Laundry Pair to every who will listen to me. It is worth every penny.

Best Washer ever!

The washer actually gets clothes clean, I've had several new washers in the last 14 years, it's like nothing cleans clothes anymore. I've heard and known about speed queens during that time. I just didn't want to spend that much money. This last move we went to a laundry mat, with speed queens. The clothes smelled so clean. I use detergent with out any fragrances. I was so excited. We went right to a speed queen store and bought the washer and dryer set. I've been rewashing all of my previously " clean" clothes. They all have a stale oder. I will not ever have Speed Queens again

Let me start by acknowledging what many of us hesitate to admit: Speed Queen comes with a hefty price tag. But let me share our journey, and perhaps you'll understand why, in the end, it's a decision worth making.
Our story begins with an ancient washer, that not only deafened us with its noise but also danced its way across the laundry room floor with each spin cycle. Determined to bid farewell to this noisy companion, we purchased in a brand new set, only to find ourselves face-to-face with the dreaded squeak within six short months.
Disheartened but not defeated, I embarked on a months-long quest for a reliable replacement, scouring forums, reviews, and YouTube videos for a glimmer of hope. And that's when I stumbled upon a revelation in the form of a Speed Queen.

What sold me? The insights of an appliance repair tech in a YouTube video, dissecting the very parts of this model that ensure its longevity. No transmission to worry about, no costly repairs looming on the horizon. And the cherry on top? A quiet agitation, proudly boasting a mere 43dB, a rarity in the world of washers where noise pollution reigns supreme. I couldn’t find another washer that actually promotes their dB which seems to me, other companies aren’t proud of their dB. Go Speed Queen!
In our cozy abode with its LVP flooring and open-plan layout, the tranquility offered by this machine is nothing short of a godsend. The loudest part of the cycle is the sound of water filling the drum.
Concerned about the lid lock? When you start the machine, you have a few minutes of the washer filling with water to open the lid and toss in forgotten items- just remember to press the play button again! It's really that easy. If the lid is locked- leave it alone. If you force it open, you will break the lid lock.
As for performance, it's unmatched. With this model, the agitator pushes the water through the clothes rather than the agitator pushing the clothes through the water. This model is more gentle than the TR5 yet still thorough in cleaning. The temperature options are simple. The top temperatures are for the wash cycle and the bottom temperatures are the rinse cycle. This saves you energy and money! And let's not forget the self-leveling legs, sparing us the manual labor of leveling it ourselves.
Do your homework and read the manual! The detergent goes directly in the drum BEFORE your clothes. When loading your washer, drop your clothes in the drum. Avoid packing it. You’ll be doing your washer (and yourself) a favor by not packing and overloading it.
