Excellent machine. I remember at least 60 years ago my grandmother had a front loader washer. Would stand and be mesmerized by it.

So far, the washer seems to work well. You have to figure out what mode works best for your particular laundry, and then it’s fine. Do wish it spun the clothes, etc. drier, but it’s ok.

We replaced a 15-yr-old Whirlpool washer that we bought new which finally failed on us. This particular Speed Queen washer is the first one that we actually look forward to using! It is so easy and quick to start a wash. The 7-year warranty is a big "plus" for us! The only caveat with this machine is that to do a good wash, we need to first put our liquid soap in the washer and then fill it up about halfway -- then place our clothes in and continue the wash. You must press the "Start" button twice to restart the load. But that is a very small price to pay for such a high-quality load of washed clothes! It truly is a "set and forget" kind of washer. We have yet to have an unbalanced load, or any complications of any kind after a month of use. We recommend that you plug the washer into a small GFI and then plug THAT into the wall. That way, you'll help to protect your new machine's electronics from any power-blinks, etc. We live in a rural setting so that is essential for us. I was nervous about the "electronic panel push buttons" until I read the reviews that specifically covered them. They are wonderful! Thank you, Speed Queen!!!

Have put it to the test more than once and has only been off balance 1 time. It did not rock the machine all over the place and has handled all I have washed like a boss!!

I love my Speed Queen washer and dryer. Our clothes feel and smell so clean. I never realized how inadequate my old washer was.

Purchased washer & dryer as a pair. Washer worked fine from day one. Cleans well, very quiet, displays time remaining. Seems to be well built.
