Decent Washer, but not as good as older models

We have owend this appliance for just over 1 year. Currently it has to be plugged and unplugged to correct a system error during most loads. It will be covered under warranty, but still a hassle since the part is expected to take weeks to get currently.
Up until this time, it had worked great. It is quiet, but expect this is partially because it is a light to medium wash at best as it only swishes the clothes in the tub. The center column does not turn independent of the tub. Still, better than most other washers after talking to friends and family with other brands.
The controls to unlock the lid/restart seem to work on a delay, which seems odd for an electronic appliance. It is like the washer is thinking instead of just performing the command.
Over all, I would buy again, but it is not as good as our old Kenmore/Whirlpool design that ran for 20 years with only minimal maintenance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’ve been wanting a washer with an agitator for so long. My Maytag bit the dust and I knew SpeedQueen was what I wanted. I didn’t really care that it cost so much. But so far, it has been great. It’s quiet and takes less time to wash. My clothes are not knotted up . Everything seems to be coming out clean !
