Rinsing clothes really good. Quiet and love all the options that are available to use. I was so fortunate to be able to buy a Speed Queen washer.

Glad to finally have a Speed Queen washer

Was so glad to get rid of my lousy Samsung washer and get the best - Speed Queen! My parents always had them growing up and knew they were good quality. Only thing I wish was that the buzzer at the end of the cycles was a bit louder.

You get what you pay for... QUALITY!

I've only had this washer a couple months and I am already beyond impressed. I washed my queen size comforters in my Speed Queen on the Bulky cycle. Usually I would have to take them to the local laundromat because even though my previous washer claimed to be high capacity, but it wasn't! My Speed Queen had them clean and fresh, something that my other "high capacity" washer couldn't do on it's best day! A big selling point for me was the quality, not every company can say they've been in business over 100 years! I remember seeing Speed Queens in the laundry facility in my dorm when I was in college. I also remember seeing them at a local laundromat I went to when a previous washer of mine died and I had to wait for a new one. Another big selling point is that my house is also over a hundred years old, which means narrow stairways, so it is very difficult to find machines that fits the 26" opening to go in our basement. My Speed Queen fit perfectly!! The biggest selling point of all for me is that they are American made! I'm sure there are parts from other places/countries, but they are still built in Wisconsin, USA. I would rather buy an American made product even if it's more expensive! Now I will admit, it was more expensive that most residential washing machines, but warranty is great and covers a lot. The first 3 years that warranty is bumper-to-bumper covering parts and labor (among other things). There's more to the warranty too, the coverage doesn't end after 3 years. What other company does that for an appliance now-a-days with no hidden fees or "small print"? I bought a refrigerator several years ago at a major appliance retailer who started in a catalog and has also been around a long, long time (I think you know where I'm talking about). The salesman said that "if we get 5 years out of a fridge that's a good one" and "most appliance that are good last 5 years or more"! I was livid because the refrigerator we were replacing was 25 years old. In the last 15 years, I've gone through 3 washers and 2 dryers. My Speed Queen is rated to last 25 years! My grandfather always said, "You get what you pay for, and if you buy it cheap, you'll buy it twice!" As an adult, I am learning more and more that for a coal miner with an 8th grade education, he was a brilliant man! Oh yeah, and when my dryer goes, I'm getting a Speed Queen dryer!

Best machine made in our area

I really like the touch screen ......was afraid of it, but it is really easy.
The tub is so big and the clothes are swirling in water for better cleaning.
I like the programmed features for choosing the special cycles.

This unit was recommended to us by our repairman who said he was certified to work on them…but rarely does. We have washed about 20 loads so far and everything has come out clean and smelling great. It is is a quieter unit than expected and we love all the wash options. The agitator is full size but doesn’t catch our clothes which was an issue with our old top load unit. We are able to fit our queen size comforter in the tub which was a worry of ours at first. Nothing feels flimsy/cheap about this unit. The biggest selling point was the warranty. The other brands were cheaper but not much different in price after purchasing their extended warranties.

Back to the basics!

We are a family of 8 and 6 are boys. We had a LG front loader for just short of 5 years. The clothes alway came out dingy and when you opened the washer after a cycle it did not smell fresh. I would do a clean cycle once a week and scrub down the rubber seal and it looked clean but never smelled it. I would say we do well over 20 loads a week. When I first used the speed queen I was thrilled to open it and it
smell the actual laundry detergent. The clothes look great and stains are coming out that I thought was a lost cause. I have only had it 3 weeks but I really do like it.
