Just purchased both the Speed Queen Washer and Dryer. Best decision I have made when it comes to appliances. Both have been working as I had hoped. The installers were professional, competent, and courteous.

Complicated controls without a User's guide!

Washer comes with a brief quick start guide, but no User's Manual. You can request one but have to wait 6 weeks for delivery. Quick start guide does not give adequate information to use the washer!

Since 2009 I have purchased three different washing machines, the longest lasting only five years. Given the amount of money I spent on three machines combined, I decided to buy the top of the line Speed Queen based on reviews and Speed Queen's warranty. My washing machine does the job in roughly a 30-minute cycle. My clothes are clean. I'm hoping to push between 15-20 years of life from this product based on what I've read about Speed Queen. I'll circle back in five years with an update...

Best washing machine ever

Love the durability and extensive life of Speed Queen washing machines. I bought top of the line with 7 yr warranty. My washer is estimated to last 25 years, if so I’ll be 94 when I have to replace it and it may outlive me. Lol
I love the strength of my SQ washer, that it almost never gets out of balance. In the past, I’ve owned 2 GE washers, life was only 2-3 yrs, same with my Maytag Neptune, very short life. I’m thrilled to have a washing machine with a long life❣️ Our daughter purchased the top of line SQ at our recommendation. We recommend to everyone.

Can’t beat the warranty

Expensive but I couldn’t pass up on the stores explanation for the warranty of 7 years for parts and labor.
My only complaint is the lid lock. I’m almost a senior. I don’t have little ones that could be hurt around a working washer. I just find it difficult to trust the amount of water for the load is actually how much I want to use. For the last two loads I see fabric softener in the bottom of the washers tub. Even after cutting the amount I use in half. Not sure what is going on with that.
Overall, I like the washer and the dryer. It’s definitely going to take me time to adjust to all the computer gadgets after using my kenmore set for the last 25 years!

This washer got great reviews from several friends. The sales person at Grays was also very helpful in explaining the features and overall reliability. I really like the features and warranty. I would recommend this machine.
