I replaced a high efficiency Whirlpool washer that lasted about 6-7 years. I chose Speed Queen due to its reputation as a commercial built washer AND that it is manufactured in the USA. Overall, we are pleased with the washer. I find that I sometimes have to press the wash button twice to get the unit to start the wash cycle. I am generally pleased with the size of the tub although it is smaller than our previous Whirlpool washer. This is a traditional washer that uses more water than the High efficiency models. There is an econ setting which I have used a few times for smaller loads. So far, I am pleased with the product. I spend extra money on SQ as I feel I am buying a better product that will last. Time will tell. Overall, I would put purchase again.

Great washer. After two "high efficiency" washers that couldn't clean the easiest of stains our new speed queen with the agitator takes care of tough grass stains with no issue. Will never go back to a high efficiency again
