I love the new Speed Queen washer with the several wash selections. Wash time is shorter than the energy efficient unit I had before and the clothes are actually cleaned. My only problem is the fabric softener is in the basin after each cycle is completed so I have to run a rinse cycle with clothes.
We bought this machine to replace a Maytag that was purchased 26 years ago, and faithfully served our large family. If you want to know what I think of our new Speed Queen, ask me in 26 years.
A little disappointed in the dryer... my Kenmore front load dryer dried my clothes much faster. My daughter in law was a happy camper to inherit that machine. Miss the steam option, and wished it dried faster. Otherwise it’s a basic dryer.
So far so good. I’ve watched about five loads so far. It does leave some residual soap in the bottom of the tub, as well as on some of the clothes. I think I just have to master the various settings for each of my different loads. The machine is very easy to use, The electric panel is easy to understand and the washer loads easily. Not sure the cup on the agitator for softeners works very well as there is always some softener left at the end of the wash. It’s not easy to clean out unless I just haven’t figured out how to take it off of the agitator to rinse it out.
Large capacity dryer. Drys very well. I do wish it may have had more insulation to be somewhat quieter. But so much better than the previous oversized Samsung that I hated! That actually blew up in June of this year!
