We recently purchased a Speedqueen, heavy duty commerical washer. I can't be more pleased. Our son works construction mud, grease, tar or a combination and sweat in the summers. This mschine is amazing. Nothing fancy lkke so many machines with whistles and bells. Our laundry appears much cleaner and the machine spins so much more water from the tub! The 10yr warranty on parts and labor was an added plus!
The washer does good but needs a larger capacity and needs a written manual to show how everything works. I sent for one but Speed Queen will not send one.
We purchased this machine as a replacement after my 5th washer in 3 years quit working. My husband and I did a lot of research and were impressed by Speed Queen. These machines are built to last with metal parts. This was a must have for me as I was tired of getting a new washer roughly every 6 months. We went to our local dealer (who was not interested in selling us a Speed Queen) but after much instance on our part, we were able to bring this wonderful machine home. It runs quietly and the wash cycles are so much quicker than my prior machines AND the clothes are actually clean when the cycle is done. We live on a small hobby farm and mud and dirt are constants for us. So having a machine that will get our clothes clean the first time is wonderful. My prior machines I had to wash the same load twice before the clothes were somewhat clean. The only downfall to this machine is the capacity. I wish the capacity was larger, but overall this is a must have machine.
These Speed Queen units were ordered AFTER we made the mistake of buying top of the line Fisher Pakel units and found them to be nothing but problems, starting with a faulty motherboard in the dryer! After 3 months of use, I would recommend Speed Queen over all the other product lines that we viewed!
After the nightmare of another brand's top-loading washer without an agitator, we wanted to get something that was rock-solid, would actually clean our clothes (gasp), and wouldn't get recalled twice, walk across the laundry room floor when it got out of balance, and would do what a washer is supposed to do - wash clothes quickly, quietly, efficiently, and not call attention to itself. That's what we got with our Speed Queen. Not only is it really, really good at cleaning our clothes, it does so without drama - in the background, unobtrusively, and reliably. Plus, it's fun to use - just enough choices without being overwhelming. I expect it will outlive all of us. Thanks for making a washer that does what it's supposed to do.
2 of my kids work at McDonald's. Their uniforms have a distinct greasy smell when they come home from work. My 2 previous washers were not able to get the smell out. My new washer get the smell out. It does a much better job of washing all our cloths than any other washer I have owned.
