You need water to clean clothes!

This machine does the job. My clothes have never felt so clean. Light and airy. Every bit of detergent residue is rinsed clean. Plus all of the grime is rinsed away. I previously had a front load, he style washer. I don't miss it one bit.

This washing machine is wonderful!! Very quite running. Love that I can choose eco mode. The auto fill option is nice but it’s great I can choose load size. It wring the water out really well!!

My old washer was a compact stackable unit with very few cycle options. I had to add water to the wash manually each time I used it as it was one of those front load machines that barely wet the clothes (& barely cleaned the clothes). I wanted more of an 'old fashioned' washing machine - and did some homework online. Consumer Report did not rate the Speed Queen very high and I figured out it's because it actually fills the tub with water and so is not considered environmentally friendly. Huh. We chose Speed Queen for it's reliability, size, quality, warranty, & the fact that it actually WASHES your clothes with water! Love the digital display, the many cycle options, water level selector, & the large tub size. Don't listen to CR if you want a W/D that actually cleans your clothes. I am satisfied consumer.

We have used this Speed Queen washing machine for five weeks. We replaced a competitor's front load washer that lasted seven years, which I understand to be the average length of time before they break down. Not worth repairing due to the cost of labor and parts. We decided to "splurge" and "invested" in this Speed Queen. Full seven year warranty (vs. one year for the competitor; that tells you the confidence each company has in their product). Definitely more expensive to purchase, but if it lasts three or more times than the competitor's model, as I expect it will, it's actually a bargain. Made in the USA. And the machine itself is great: fast, quiet, large capacity, and gets the clothes clean. My wife is thrilled with it, and therefore so am I.

Best and quietest machine I've ever owned

This machine means business - it is sturdy and obviously built with high quality materials. I thought about getting the TR5 model but I really wanted the additional flexibility with the various cycle options. I don't intend on replacing this machine for a very long time so I decided to get the most functionality I could, and I am not disappointed. The machine cleans great and is very quiet - I do use a little more detergent than I did with my older washer....that one agitated harshly and scrubbed the clothes rigorously. Unfortunately it also damaged delicate fabrics and shirts over the years even on gentle cycle, especially some expensive active wear (I'm a cyclist). The TR7 is less aggressive but if I feel like my clothes are exceptionally dirty I just put the wash time up to the maximum setting and add a soak. Everything comes out clean and fresh - I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it. Oh, the capacity is very large as well - it can handle a huge pile of clothes with no problem!

Great washing machine

After a month I can say that the machine has my confidence. Last Samsung one leaked. With speed queen making industrial machines, I feel confident this one is made sturdy. It has a center rotator and no rubber casing to get slimy!

Love, love, love!!

Don't waste your time on anything else!! I've been through LG, GE, and Maytag. I loved my LG but it started making noises after 4 years pkus it smelled and yes I washed the washer monthly. GE, had for a few days....NOPE, no water. Maytag lasted 2 years, but we hated it from the get go!! No water washed the clothes. They thought the clothes swishing around against eachother was good enough, NOPE. Speed queen, my son (11 yo) even noticed his clothes smelled so much better. Speed queen uses water to clean the clothes. What a concept, What a difference!!
