Cloths come out so clean and fresh. Very quiet. Only if the beeper to tell you its done was louder. I have it at the max setting.

Great Washer and Dryer

Bought another brand from a big box store and had to return as it took over 3 hours to get our clothes clean. Went to the reviews and for a few more bucks got the Speed Queen washer and dryer and have been extremely pleased with our purchase!

Cleans the clothes effectively and quickly! Love the agitator and that the water will fill to the top! Spins heavy clothes without a problem and the quietest machine I’ve ever had! Our laundry time has been cut in at least half. It was an investment that I am proud that I made!I’m a speed queen girl for life!

Lid Locking Frustration

The lid locking design is the most frustrating feature I have ever experienced on a washer - and this is my 3rd Speed Queen. It takes far too long at the end of the cycle (or when pausing) for the locks to release the lid. 20+ seconds is just ridiculous. I can't get excited about all the other features when I have to fight the locks every day. This drops the product from a "5" to a "3" just on it's own. Next time I'll go with the lower grade option. Very disappointed with this design.

Hi, PJsLife. We're sorry the lid lock has caused you frustration! The lid should remain unlocked during the first initial fill, and then lock right before the agitation begins. If you need to pause the machine to access the tub, the lid should unlock after 10 seconds if the cycle is in the wash stage or it may take up to 60 seconds if the cycle is in the spin stage. This is to allow the machine to come to a complete stop before the lock disengages to meet the required safety regulations.
