Do not understand how machine FULLY works. Have read & re-read ALL literature bothe in accompanying manual & on line. Now I've been told that THE WONDERFUL company I bought it - Appliance Doctor- from can NO LONGER represent Speed Queen products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I want my Whirlpool back

For this kind of money, I expect to open the tub and find two nice new water supply hoses. Second load - I decided to toss my dirty socks in that I was wearing. Lid wasn't locked yet. This action brought up the dreaded "Ed" to the display. Could not clear it. Had to go online and do a Google search because there was nothing for this in the manual. Google suggested I unplug it, then plug it back in. Eco anything sucks - even when selecting extra rinse the tub has the disgusting green fabric softener drizzle all down the sides. It's necessary to WIPE THE TUB before doing your next load. Bottom line - I'd take my Whirlpool back in a heartbeat. Oh, I almost forgot - these two appliances are so skinny I now have three new giant cracks to lose kid's socks and ping pong balls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Machine works great . My only issue is I have to do smaller loads because I have an entertainer agitator but I can live. Spins out water more than old machine, therefore less drying time.

We previously owned a Fisher-Paykel dryer which had two features this dryer does not have. First, it was a top loader which we were disappointed to learn no longer exists for any brand of dryer. That feature was a real convenience. We were very disappointed to learn Speed Queen did not have a top loading dryer. Secondly, our Fisher-Paykel had a lint cup that fit neatly on the side of the inside of dryer that you could conveniently pull and dump out with little effort. The Speed Queen has a lint trap that you have to pull out and then clean out with your fingers which takes more effort and is messier.

Wonderful machine! My clothes is coming out smelling very clean, unlike my 2 year old front loading machine that always had a bad smell even though the door was always left open and clothes didn't smell fresh.

I like everything about the washer with the exception of the Eco setting. Every load that has been done on eco has resulted in a puddle of fabric softer in the bottom of the washing machine at the end of the cycle. Fabric softener ends up all over the clothes as well. Not very eco friendly when the clothes have to be washed a second time.

Hello, and thank you for reaching out. Our technicians recommend against utilizing fabric softener when selecting the Eco cycle. Our team recommends that you utilize hot or warm water temperatures when using fabric softener so that it helps dissolve the product. You can also try utilizing the Extra Rinse option.
