Needed repair after two days

I decided to purchase a Speed Queen because I got sick of laundry machines breaking or dying after a few years and I wanted to invest in a product with a reputation for being long-lasting and with good warranty. My first impression of the product was great. It's clearly well designed, simple to use, and sturdily built. But after two days it began giving an error message that there was a problem with the control board. My brand new machine had to be serviced to get it working again temporarily while I wait for a new control board to arrive and be installed. The whole experience has me frustrated and very worried about the long-term prospects for this machine. I'm hoping the repair will resolve the issue permanently and that this isn't the start of a a litany of problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clean clothes again

We replaced a not-that-old Maytag Bravos that we didn’t like (it croaked and we didn’t even try to have it repaired) and the Speed Queen has been fantastic. Clothes have a freshness that they never had before. We did have one odd “ER 65” issue on the display that required us to unplug the unit and “reset” it (twice) but so far haven’t had that problem since the initial day. It’s also much quieter than the Maytag - at times you hardly know it is even running.

Really nice machine

This is one quiet machine..no rattles or shakes during wash or spin cycles.The wash cycles are perfect..the spin cycle speeds are amazingly efficient. It cut my dryer time almost in half..
I know your paying for the 7y warranty up front but its worth it. One suggestion though I would make the dump/outflow hose one foot longer..mine just about reaches the wash tub which is located on the left side of the machine..

Best we have had.

Started with a Samsung washer lasted 4.5 years. Went with a LG it only lasted 1.5 years. (Could not be fixed). Did my research and saw Speedqueen, and read about how long they lasted and knew I needed it for my home. It's been in our home for a couple of months. Works flawlessly, getting clothes clean, easy to operate, highly recommend The Speedqueen brand and this model of washer.

Early experience no problems

Machine is very quiet, effectively cleans, spins most of the moisture out and drains water thoroughly at end of cycle. We are happy that we didn't repair our foreign made machine that failed to do the above. Higher spin speed, less moisture left, faster dry time, less cost. No undrained water left to cause musty odor. Seven year warranty and Made In USA.

Loving my Speed Queen

I have had my Speed Queen a month now. Love having an agitator again and the washer fills with water. It’s the little things that make me happy like having cleaning clothes and a washer that doesn’t smell inside. I recommend and would definitely purchase again.

I just love this machine

I bought a Speed Queen dryer about 10 years ago, and swore that my next washing machine would be a Speed Queen. The old machine (which I've always hated) finally gave out, and off I went to get the washer I've always wanted.
Best. Purchase. Ever. I've had the machine for a month, used pretty much every cycle at least once, and have gotten the best results of any machine I've had. Filthy mop heads? Check. Hand washables? Check. Dog beds? Check. Washable stuffed animals? Check. Disgusting dog toys? Check. Whites, denim, even a couple wool sweaters? Check, check, check.
I can soak anything for as long as I want - huge plus. And it's quiet; I no longer have to turn up the TV (upstairs from the washer) when the washer is running. It's so quiet, in fact, that I can barely hear it when I'm in the basement.
I had read several bad reviews before buying, and I thought, wow, has Speed Queen slipped? Then I read one that said, if you do things the way you always have, this is not your machine; if you read the manual and do things the way it says to, this will be the best machine you've ever had. I read the manual, followed the directions, and I'm VERY happy.

TR7 Review: I previously used a front loader washing machine. For years I have had to wash clothes, then run two rinse cycles to get clean clothes without soapy residue. Less soap, not clean, normal soap…too many rinses. Recently it sounded like a jet was taking off every time it spun clothes. I am fed up with buying appliances that are built to stop working in a couple of years especially when they are ridiculously high priced. Speed Queen was the answer to my laundry woes. Worth every penny. This machine gets my clothes CLEAN without extra rinses. It’s easy to use. It has a 7 yr warranty. Has excellent instructions. I ordered the free manuals from the website. Installation was professional and courteous. Speed Queen’s are built for longevity. This is a match made in heaven for me. I am a retired person and I want appliances that are built with quality precision meant to last. I am impressed. Highly recommend. Just a note…these are not usually in big box stores where sales reps barely know the difference between refrigerators and washing machines. I found a small store with competitive pricing to what I found on the internet. I feel great knowing I have an appliance from a company that is confident in their product to back it with a seven year warranty. Added bonus is that it is made in the USA.
