Very good choice

This machine has met all of our expectations! This is a quiet machine that gives you water to clean and rinse. Seems to handle the same size loads as our old 4.5 cu ft washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's ok

So far I have already had to have a service tech out because of error code LD. The lid was locked and I could not get it open or to work and had a load of towels that had to sit in it for 4 days; had to fight to get a service tech out as soon as I did. They wanted to wait for over 2 weeks to come out.

The American Dream

This was my first washing machine purchased new as an adult (Im 46!) Looked into all the options, front loader vs top loader, watched product reviews, spoke to people in the industry and did all the research and Speed Queen was supposed to be the best. I’ve had it now for about a month and love it! Easy and fast. I do alot of laundry. Hope it lasts for many many years to come. I feel like owning this washing machine is like a piece of the American Dream! Im grateful I could afford to get the best.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My wife and I are very unhappy with the "top of the line speed queen top load washer". We replaced a front loader maytag after 16 years and this unit was recommended to us by the appliance salesperson. We are very unhappy. We can no longer use our fabric softener due to severe staining of our clothes on "eco-normal" cycle and must use the heavy-duty cycle on all clothes so the softener dispenses properly. the extra time and wasteful use of water is ridiculous. Plus we have a septic system and am very concerned because of the addition of extra water. The clothes comes out wrinkled and nothing is nothing is "gentle". This may be suitable for a laundrymat, but not a residential houshold. We will attempt to sell these units (we purchased the dryer as well) and move back to a front loader. VERY UNHAPPY!

Hello,
We appreciate your feedback in regards to your TR7, we truly understand your frustrations during this time. When you are using fabric softener on the Normal Eco setting, please be sure to select 'extra rinse' to ensure the fabric softener is fully rinsed out. If you are not satisfied with fabric softener, you can always replace this with white vinegar!
However, we would highly recommend checking these steps off your list as well while using fabric softener/Normal eco:
1. Make sure the Extra Rinse option is enabled if using the Normal Eco cycle. Even though the Normal Eco cycle uses a spray rinse, the extra rinse option is a traditional full tub of water.
2. Make sure the softener slots in the agitator are clean and free of debris.
3. Make sure the fabric softener dispenser is clean and free of debris.
a. Upon inspecting the dispenser for clogs or debris, consider visually inspecting the dispenser cup for damage. Replace the dispenser assembly as necessary.
Using the extra rinse option may not be fusible as you stated you have a septic system.
Lastly, the cause of having wrinkled clothing can be a result from; overloading the machine, heavy items being placed on light items, and hard water.
We apologize again for the inconvenience this has caused you, we sure hope this helps resolve your concerns.

Product fell short of expectations

Purchased Speed queen based on the reputation of being a well built machine and does not break down with normal wear and use for close to 10 years. Within 1 month the dryer stopped working. The washer seems to require more water when using fabric softener or else the clothes will have stains from the softener.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. Pour the manufacturers recommend amount of softener into the dispenser at the top of the agitator and dilute with water to the fill line.
2. Make sure the Extra Rinse option is enabled if using the Normal Eco cycle. The Normal Eco cycle only has a spray rinse, not a full tub rinse. So the Extra Rinse option is necessary if using this cycle to completely rinse the softener out.
3. Make sure the softener slots in the agitator are clean and free of debris.

Only works off extension cord

Day one had to call service due to causing gfci to trip. Service took week and had to order part. Still waiting 4 + weeks. Reached out to speed queen and only received reply email stating it’s between distributors and service. Brand new machine and didn’t hold themselves accountable.

Disappointed

Within the first 10 days of owing this machine I had a motor control board failure. We asked DT McCalls to take back the machine and they wouldn't return our call. The salesman Fred said they would make it right now matter what and know they won't return our calls. I'm beyond disappointed and frankly very mad about it all...
